Full immunity for constitutional acts, presumptive immunity for official acts, no immunity for unofficial acts,

Careful what you wish for, MAGA. This has the potential to be catastrophic for them given Biden is currently in power. Lol.

But what is an official act? We won't tell you! We have to see the letter next to his name first.

Literally legal now (and the goal of the Republican Party):

    1. Get rid of civil service protections.
    2. Appoint a person to a position that used to be civil service.
    3. Take personal money from that person or a sponsor for doing so.

    Legal!

No kidding that’s the aim of the ruling class and the billionaire donor class. I don’t think the drooling class really comprehend the purpose of civil service protections. It’s a guardrail against political corruption. So naturally those who would seek to corrupt the government would be at war with such guardrails.

Not sure what Joe 6 pack thinks he’s going to gain, but boy they got him exited about going after the “deep state”!

Sounds like basically a non ruling to me? Saying immunity for official acts and no immunity for unofficial acts is tantamount to saying nothing at all, nothing we didn’t already know, not without the decision on defining those boundaries for this specific case.

Clearly Trumps activities around the 1/6 were not “official acts”, they were campaign acts. The only official act was perhaps his negligence in ordering the national guard on that actual day (ultimately resulting in Pence having to do it).

Of course the purpose of the court here was to play the delay game, not to give us a ruling. They fool nobody with this partisan hackery, and you’d fully expect them to do the same again when the appeals play out as far as courts deciding which acts are official vs not official.

Except for posters here wishing violence and death on others for disagreeing with them, this will be a fun thread to read. The hopes for violence and assassination death threats go hand-in-hand with the Democratic Party practices.

I only have two concerns from now to election day:

    1. Biden not to get the US into WWIII or any war. I'm not sure that is possible more so over what is going on in the Middle East than Russia/Ukraine. The war is brewing and expanding which is dangerous with Biden and his pro terrorist/antisemitic administration in power.

    2. If Biden has the same thoughts as posters here to the point of him having unofficial hopes/wishes that Trump was dead, his administration is capable of springing into action to assassinate Trump. After Biden's lawfare against Trump, I don't put anything past what Biden is willing and capable of doing.

So as an official act to protect democracy Biden can now do whatever he wants to keep Trump out of power, yeah? Of course not, because we all know the stacked right wing SCOTUS will come up with any excuse to twist the narrative to get Trump out of everything, lol. Funny how Trump is the only president in history to need immunity. I wonder why? Don’t break the law, asshole.

Also, they need some time to figure out how they can monetize this. This vacation for Thomas to a 5 star resort in Fiji that he received for his vote is official!

I've only had time to read the headnotes and reserve the right to adjust after time to digest and analyze the ruling in full.

USSC recognized a presumption in favor of immunity for Presidential acts that must be overcome to withstand dismissal/summary judgment to proceed with a criminal prosecution. Furthermore, "evidence" of the President's motives and consultations with Executive staff may not be used to overcome the presumption. (Again, only having read the headnotes, I'm not sure how clear or expansive this evidentiary ruling runs.) One should note that similar precedent exists for civil suits against a President.

This is pretty much the ruling that both sides anticipated. Thus, you can save yourself and others the time and effort pretending to be astonished/fearful/apocalyptic.

Laughable and unhinged take as usual. “Lawfare” is the new right wing buzz word now replacing “woke”, “CRT”, and “DEI.” Your boy clearly and blatantly broke the law multiple times, accept it and move on.
