You are right and it cuts both ways.

That is how it works though it is not a bout political spectrum. It is about being human.

 

Sounds good in spirit, but a person’s politics and their perspectives on sensitive topics are linked, by definition. I mean, our perspectives define our political opinions, right?

It’s pretty much unavoidable, which is why all kinds of debates here frequently degenerate into a political argument. The real satisfaction then, is seeing if we can conduct purposeful discourse and avoid having the mods beam it over to the TH wasteland

 

Yep. All kinds of good people with differing views, but empathy is the highest form of humanity.

 

Thank you for the lesson in basic human decency.

 

And that is why I feel as much concern for one segment of the student population as I do for another - man, woman, straight, gay, black, brown or white. That's why I also try to avoid suggesting that others are less humane or somehow sadly unenlightened simply because I disagree with a one specific aspect of their point of view.

I just think it would be great to have John Smith and Cale Sanderson in the Odome. And if we ever want to make a run at the World Cup, we need to get the great athletes of the South involved.
Our successful womens international soccer team and wrestlers are helped by all the opportunities at the college level. Nice if the men had those opportunities.

 

Hopeful for football and basketball, but I'm far more confident in success this coming season for baseball and softball. Both spring sports have coaches that are proven winners and have NCs on their resumes.
