This kind of rhetoric really helps the discourse also!!
You have just called me a dumb moron. Do you really think I have any care to read anything you have to say now?
When you point fingers at everyone else remember 3 are pointed back at you. You want to effect change, see the exchanges Mikemcd and I have been having. Probably both of us consider ourselves on the opposite ends but have had a good dialogue and I will read what he writes with a lot more interest than before. It has to start somewhere, why not be the tool of change and change the tenor, rather than just calling someone you disagree with a dumb moron.

How many bipartisan immigration bills have there been over the last 40 years? Have any of them been effective, neither side( for their own different and some same reasons) do not want the immigration travesty to stop. Or even meaningfully improve.

I have absolutely zero confidence that this “bipartisan bill” is worth two flies on a turd when it comes to improving the situation. There is no will in our federal govt to do it.

Martians on the moon must be able to tell it’s election year in the US.

It is almost as if government is ineffective at preventing immigration when there is a demand for labor. Perhaps we should consider something other than having the government decide how many immigrants there should be in a year, what types of immigrants they are, etc.

We basically already have this. The money going to both parties is the determinant. Big campaign money decides who/how much. If the big donors wanted this fixed, it would have been fixed already.

I have no use for "dialogue" with people who want to Neville Chamberlain our country, and do so for no other reason than to create a wedge with the other party for petty political gain. National Security used to be off the table when sane and intelligent people ran the country. Sorry. Not playing nice with traitors, especially so given how cynical the position is. If this leads to bigger problems like an attack on a NATO country and all that entails, I fully expect to see people swinging from piano wire for holding this traitorous position. And if that describes you, so be it.

You would think that the party that fetishizes the law of supply and demand would understand supply and demand better.

Pretty sure Biden proposed an Immigration bill back in 2021 that addressed border security, funded a crackdown on organized crime, addressed the cause of immigration, funded processing courts, and offered resolution for dreamers.

Hyperbole much!!! Better get that prepper home ready!!! You are an absolute idiot if you think Trump is going to turn this country over to Putin. And an even bigger idiot if you think that guy in DC now doesn't bow at the feet of China!!
Anyhow, great conversation, have a nice life down in your anti Trump bomb shelter!

No, we actually don't. Big government is the group making decisions.

Trump has been a Russian asset since the 80s. The GOP has been one since roughly 2016 give or take.

    And let's not forget this
Trump calls Putin 'genius' and 'savvy' for Ukraine invasion:
