    ???

Exerting a great deal of effort in seeking to discharge duties, complete tasks, and achieve goals, and sustaining such effort with determination, perseverance, endurance, and persistence until duties are discharged/ tasks completed/ goals achieved?

    Surely you've heard the expression...

Yes. This was a passive aggressive thread.

I think as people age they suddenly think their generation was better at ____ (fill in the blank). We’ve had so many threads running down “kids today”. This was an attempt to highlight this story to call it a needle in a haystack.

Most of our posts are pretty transparent.

Thanks to Biden the unemployment levels are ridiculously low impacting Indeed which is in no way akin to determining kids today don’t put forth effort. You should block yourself. Lol

You’ve turned into quite the curmudgeon lately.
You’ve become a paragon for libbies to follow. We’ll done.

Im just pleased you did more than simply click dislike and post a meme. Nice to see ya.

The curmudgeon characteristics are really more aptly displayed by those who regularly run down youth of today like they are some outlier first step towards the dismantling of America. That’s ridiculous. Quality level of the youth is much higher these days for those of us embedded in hiring them. My opinion. These thinly veiled “get off my lawn” threads have run their course.

Thinly veiled? Naw man, nobody’s hiding from the fact that old school values are something to cherish.
Why you abhor the old days and mock those who appreciate those values is something you ought to look into.
    Know thyself.

It is not only passive aggressive, it is illogical.

    To paraphrase:

"Finding young hard working highly motivated employees is like finding a needle in a haystack. As evidence of this, I present you an example of an 8th grader walking 6 miles to a graduation ceremony". Huh?

    And the title:

"If you like really want to get something, then you have to work hard for it"

I suspect there were many children that equally wanted to walk the stage but were driven by their parents. So they didn't "have to work hard for it". I can also make the case that if you don't want to work hard for something, you really don't want it.

    Sigh.

Ask for a ride from another parent or friend. Tell a teacher you don't have a ride. Working hard is overrated. Work smarter, not harder
