Huh? Just making the point that it is clear people are making ridiculous comments about a topic that really should not be divisive.

But you are certainly good at that with your ad hominem posts that add nothing. At least you are not weak minded like those that shut out the thoughts of others they disagree with.

Demonstrate the basis for your commentary.

Even better, defend the OP's feel good story as conveyance that "Finding young hard working highly motivated employees is like finding a needle in a haystack.", which is his stated motivation.

That kid will probably go places in life. What’s sad is Too Hot cannot have a feel good story without some people turning it into a fight.

Given the OP's history, do you believe it was introduced as a "feel good story"? On a politics board? When asked why he shared it, he even admitted it was a condemnation of the lazy young. Don't be sad about the behavior of the community, be sad for this kid's story being exploited for petty whining.

You’re free to see it that way. I choose to give people the benefit of the doubt.

You just going to ignore post #3? You don’t need to give him the benefit of doubt. He went there in his second post

Here's a story about someone who worked really hard for his success. I'm not sure that the OP or a number of other posters would approve.

Are you saying that he posted #1 for the sole purpose of being able to post #3? Number 3 was in response to a direct question. I really don’t know what the person’s motivation was.

People also could’ve chosen to let it go and focus on the story.

I’m curious though, do you agree or disagree with post 3? Personally, I’m neutral on it, in the sense that I know young people who work very hard and are highly motivated, and I know young people who wouldn’t be motivated even if poked with a cattle prod.

For you maybe. But at my company I am impressed with the work ethic of young kids. Of course, I work with college graduates.

Nothing wrong with posting about a positive attitude youth. But I would not be so quick to generalize. There are lots of hard working young people out there.

Post #3 was in response to my question as to why he posted #1. I'm not sure how his motivation can be made any clearer.

No doubt there are some. But it is crazy different in just a decade! We started our business/practice in 2008. Trying to find good dependable employees is a complete mess today compared to then. Always going to have issues. But wow (and it includes older generations as we tried to go with experience on one hire and that failed miserably but the younger group is really hard to navigate as an employer)!

"...finding the right hire, is like finding a needle in a haystack. Use Indeed, and it's like finding a needle in a needle stack...you need indeed...indeed you do!".

From a popular national ad campaign.

Post #3 was literally nothing more than echoing that very common perception of things, sans the company pitch.

    What the hell's your problem?

Turned the filter off to see what I was missing.

    Conclusion?

Might need to add a few more posters to the ignore list, not remove any already on it. :p
