    David Brooks tries it again and gets embarrassed. Instead of quoting an anonymous friend that cannot be falsified, he uses a picture and location (Newark airport), for his $78 meal to show inflation, and gets predictably exposed.

    BTW, I personally agree that inflation "feels" higher at the grocery store and restaurants. But this is ridiculous

    Funny, I saw this story this morning. I'm not sure how much alcohol he drank, but that seemed very high even for an airport, lol. One thing that has gotten subjectively super high to me is Door Dash and Uber Eats. I developed a habit during Covid and for better or worse try to avoid looking at how much I've spent.

    They got people hooked and jacked up those delivery fees, that was their game plan all along when the bill came due

    If you are going to claim there are litter boxes in classrooms, don't name the school. Use the "someone told me..."

    I have no doubt. To be fair to them, it wasn't like I didn't see it coming or didn't notice the changes when they started. I'm just too lazy to go shopping and cook.

    Question begs to be asked. How many columns has he written that are intentionally misleading from knowingly incorrect/ omitted information? The liquor he drank was $62 of his $78 Tab. What a phony

    The post garnered over 37 million views and generated a flurry of criticism and memes, with many users mocking him for being out of touch and noting that Brooks’ drink was a likely driver of his high tab.

    The restaurant responded in a Facebook post, noting that Brooks’ bar tab accounted for almost 80 percent of his bill.

    “I was insensitive. I screwed up. I should not have written that tweet. I probably should not write any tweets,” Brooks said.
