Hiring past all star coach or player as AD has been a big fail recently. Not even remotely the same career.

 

Interim coaches always come from the staff. I'm not sure I see one that would work for eleven games.

 

Neither would I.

 

Look, it was horrible loss. But I am not turning on the team and assuming they are going to lose every game. I watched every horrible minute of that game and will continue to have hope.

 

Well that's a bad sign also.

Next coach shouldn’t hire his friends…..generally doesn’t bode well.

BN is not the guy. Surely there is someone on staff who can fire the team up. Do it.

 

You fire during the season to show the recruits and current players that mediocracy will not be allowed to continue beyond the season. With the early signing period coinciding with the end of the season, you have to have someone in place ready to go right then. Waiting until the end of the season to start the process could end up with a similar situation we are in now.

Napier’s leash is at the end. If he is 1-6 or 2-5 going into Ga, he needs to go then

 

The one thing that I forgot to think about is the de-commitments we will inevitably get with this coach as our head ball coach. If the powers that be are going to can him then they better not wait toll all out good commits de-commit.

 

For all the Zook bashers, he did beat Saban and also Bowden at Ron Zook field. Zook's biggest problem besides not being a championship caliber HC was he followed SOS. I know a lot of people didn't like Zaun and his bubble screens, however he was a REAL OC.
If CBN had hired a REAL OC during the offseason, things might have been different.

 

If this is all coaching, then don’t forget that you’ll need around $20M in additional NIL to keep the players here and not get poached as the vultures swirl. Or $25-$30M more for the new coach to buy his team.

What a shitshow college football has become, but hey the TV ratings are good!
