His source was the website of Cottonelle, a brand of toilet paper manufactured by Kimberly-Clark. While I don't buy the data either I never knew that Kimberly-Clark a company that manufactures paper products was part of the liberal media. I guess I learn new things every day.

When I ran my business I asked my administrative assistant to pick up some female hygiene products to keep in the ladies restroom. I thought it was better to buy a box whenever than lose productivity from an employee who had an “emergency”. My only request was for me not to know or be asked anything about it. So she said she supplied them. She was a great assistant.

Why is this limited to comparing use of feminine products, football equipment, and food.

What about students taking art classes. Is it fair for students who are more artistically talented to have access to larger quantities or better quality paint or clay or whatever medium they work with than students with lesser talents?

Should musically talented students who cannot affored to purchase or rent an instrument be provided one so they can develop their talent and participate in school orchestras and marching bands?

Yes, more calories for boys, but give the girls free iron pills with lunch to make it fair.

In the real world, kids in lunchrooms are in there swapping and bargaining like it’s gen pop, the cafeteria workers find a way to get kids a little extra, and there is already plenty to go around for everyone.

I have literally never seen a kid go underserved. I know there are always a few with eating disorders who will never fill satiated, but that’s not this.

IOW, this is an invented problem and I am having a hard time even figuring out the hypothetical principle.

I was kind of thinking that, too. I'd also mention that at my middle and high school, we usually had about 5 main meal options (pick one), about a dozen sides (pick two) and white or chocolate milk for our $1.50. The meals ranged from salad to pizza or burgers -- sides ranged from a fruit cups and veggies, to fries and deserts ... you could pick a meal that was a burger, two fries, and chocolate milk, for example. I'm guessing that would exceed the calorie needs for a boy. Depending on what you got, the calories probably ranged from 400 to 1000...

My Elementary school only served one meal per day, though.

Pretty stupid thread and I'm slightly hesitant to chip in but does everyone pay taxes that go to schools? In GA, I believe that comes from property taxes.

I’m at a HS so perhaps it is different at the lower levels, true. But here, no one is being calorically mistreated, or whatever it is that’s going on with this.

Great point. I used to be the king of trading for chocolate milks at lunch.

I would walk the entire room getting pickles on hamburger day. In those days there was indeed one option and one option only. If you don’t like soup beans and kraut, oh well for you on Wednesdays!

According to a Procter & Gamble study, the 50th percentile use of toilet paper is two pulls of six sheets each. The 90th percentile use is three pulls of nine sheets each. They did not tell me if there was a breakout between male and female.
