so seems like it’s ok with girls receiving tampons.
But boys are treated unfairly because they need more food? Should it be by body type, or body weight, or check if the boy or girl has been thru puberty which can impact caloric intake? There are additional drivers on how many calories a child needs other than boy or girl. and with increasing issues of childhood obesity just giving boys more food could create a problem.
But it’s a good assumption only girls need tampons.

I agree, it doesn't make sense ... I guess they are talking about "per wipe" ...

The stat from 2019-2021 is likely a skewed moment in time due to COVID school closures when one parent had to leave their job to be at home while their children weren’t in school (and it was far more often than not the woman not the man)

Let’s look at 2019-2023/24 for better context of that statistic. It’s improving but still not back to where it was pre-pandemic.

Gender equality, dealt a blow by COVID-19, still has much ground to cover

Just cause you need more calories doesnt mean you need them supplied at lunch, however, I linked a few studies already that said boys get more calories from food selection. They chose more grains and protein and girls over index on fruits and veggies. Anyone been to a school lunch room in the last 20 years knows there is a reasonable amount of selection.

Regardless the OP needs a refresher on equity and equality.

This reminds me of diaper changing stations in bathrooms. When my sons were young they were only in women’s restrooms and I would have to go into one to change one of my boys when I was giving my wife a break.

    I am fact checking you!

How Much Toilet Paper Should You Use? | Cottonelle® US

The average person uses 85 rolls of toilet paper per year (based on regular rolls of 150 sheets per), or nearly 13,000 sheets. Men use on average of 8.11 sheets and women use 6.31 sheets. When it comes to using wet flushable wipes, men and women use the same amount – approximately 2.91 sheets per toileting occasion.

Completely anecdotal but when my daughter in law is staying here we go through 2 rolls a week now that she is doing an internship it’s about two rolls a month.

War posted that up thread but my personal experience says that stat makes zero sense, unless as War suggested, it is only counting the wipes going #2.

The usual academic definition of "equity" has no distinction among me/you/we problems. I flatly reject that über-sociological -- privilege/oppression-based -- worldview as beyond utilitarian/collectivism

Surprising. Strictly anecdotal my wife uses more toilet paper than I do. Rather obvious and using euphemisms, while I probably use more TP when I use the toilet for no.2 , she has to use it for both no.1 and no. 2. resulting in greater total use. :D

Girls have HS sports also and they can play on the football team unlike boys on the girls teams.

The OP has glossed over the fact that urinal cakes are not used in girls bathrooms. Equity demands that be taken into account. Why can't free sanitary supplies be considered an offset for urinal cakes?

This is why the media cannot be trusted.
Women easily go through more TP than men.
I don’t trust the media and especially not your libbie sources.

I think we can take football out of the argument because even at the high school level boys football and basketball generate revenue that goes to cover other sports. There is a reason that band parents or other sports run visitors concessions at high school football games. Generally speaking significantly higher numbers of people pay ticket price and get food and drinks at boys football and basketball than at boys wrestling matches and girls volleyball.

I think the boys (and many, if not most girls) would prefer free condoms for the boys.

FTR, men, the correct answer is THREE. I’m willing to go four, five if it’s flirting with a record.

Otherwise, you have an execution issue. The area you are covering is maybe one square inch. You don’t need 100 square inches to do the job.

    You’re welcome!

K.Run the numbers -- urinal cakes vs. tampons. I'm betting the latter are more expensive, but you're with the spirit! No more "free" un-reciprocated help/
