Yes, plus at least one other portal guard (Perry or Bynum), and possibly even Dedan Thomas, if he reclassifies. We have completely turned over the backcourt in the last year.

Agree 100%. What a job by Golden. Be incredible to get Perry and have three 40% 3-point shooters. I was a little harsh last year on Golden, but with this haul, I'm completely on board and ready to give him a clean slate.

Not just that, but several kids (Kugel, Clayton, Perry) who can all get their own shots, too. When you have multiple guards who can produce both on and off the ball, you have a chance to be really good offensively.

Thanks, but I didn't actually call it. My point was that the U of F is still a very attractive destination. I don't know any more than the next guy what the deciding factor was. I imagine it was a combination of things, first and foremost being that it's just a 2-hour drive for his fam to the O-Dome.

Ive donated to Florida, FAU and Radford… in support of the respective basketball programs. But I’ll be honest…. It’s hard for me to reconcile NIL donations in its current format. It really does seem to be overt pay-for-play… as opposed to the supposed intent of allowing kids to profit from their name, image and likeness. The latter suggests an ROI … a product; a service… a commercial, for example. That type of NIL I’d be happy to support. Heck, I just spent several hundred dollars on a set of signed trading cards created by the FAU basketball team.
But this… this collective type stuff, and these gaudy signing figures- I just haven’t been able to reconcile. At least not yet.

I want a commitment from UF that every Gator student-athlete, including walk-ons, gets a cut. Team photos, gear, and paraphernalia (no, not bongs) can be marketed and sold, so let's reward them all for their hard work. We don't need a caste system.

I go back and forth on this. To take a specific case, someone with the popularity of a Tebow helped sell massive amounts of #15 jerseys. Couldn't he be compensated more for that? Or guys who actually played and contributed to team success?

If I could do three things with NIL, it would be to give all athletes a standard cut of the broadcast revenue their sport generates, make freshmen ineligible for private NIL deals, and restrict private NIL deals to endorsements administered through the universities themselves somehow (to account for compliance and taxes). But nobody is asking me, haha.

That is one snake that will not slither away when you approach. They stand their ground.

    So cool. Like a Gator.

There are 2 kinds of people in the world. Those who swerve to run over a snake and those who swerve to avoid them.

    There is a third option.

One time riding my bike on Waccahoota Road I came over a small bump in the road and there was a rattler right in my path. I jumped my bike over it.

Haha. I did the same to a Gator on Lake Alice trail. Thought he was a log. He never moved.

I did that with a Gator going down the hill on the Hawthorne Trail. Also thought it was a log until too late.

You missed my point. I didn't say the guy that sells the most jerseys or pizzas shouldn't reap the benefits. I'm saying that even the lowliest should get SOMETHING. It shouldn't be that difficult to get there.
