I don’t particularly like the feeling of apathy

I left the game at halftime because I already knew how it would end..

The team played decently in the first half. That abysmal stretch to start the second half was vintage Mike White. At one point 0-8 with 6(!) turnovers in not even 10 minutes. LOL. It’s a wonder we weren’t blown out worse. If not for Jones interrupting his slump to knock in a few 3’s we probably would have been completely run out of the gum.

We’re already there, look at how few posts there are.
I got there years ago, but it didn’t truly take until Texas Southern. I am done now, no reason to point out the obvious anymore. Haven’t posted post game since Oklahoma I don’t think. Just not worth the emotional investment anymore. Still wish them well though.

And yet it was obvious, despite Bama’s poor shooting, that it was just a matter of time..

This Bama team only shoots 33%. They didn’t seem dominant at all. We just shit the bed on offense and it flowed into the defense. Indeed those miserable stretches are a staple of White coached teams, zero offensive fundamentals. But we don’t have those bad stretches in EVERY game. Even if they happen way too much.

I’ll care again when we get a new coach much like in football but this guy is obviously juiced in with his family of athletic directors.

I give credit to the die hards. I thought I was one but stopped watching this year. It hasn't been fun watching for some time but I did hold out hope through last year especially since we looked solid to start last year before we lost KJ.

Love the guy but it's obvious at this point. Not even an anomalous break out year in all of the mediocre years.

As I said on the other board I visit, something is just off with the program. The energy, the luster, the appeal, whatever IT was under Billy D we don't have anymore. I would never miss a BD game regardless of opponent. With White, I half watch it, DVR, etc...its just not the same. I want to like White but I just don't think he's that good. He is just good enough to keep his job but you know he will probably never get to FF....our expectations are now finish in the top 4 to get a double bye in SECT, and get to Sweet 16....sad how far we have fallen

Mike White's teams mirror what our football offenses were under Maclwain and Mullen's/EJ offense. Those football teams scored less and less as the season progressed because teams had more and more film to exploit the significant deficiencies each respective team had.

Seems like Mike white teams start out well because we have talent and teams don't have much on film to scheme against but his coaching acumen is the deficiency. Teams adjust and scheme along the way and we can't. At least not effectively. How is it we compete with top teams early each year and fade so hard over and over? We all remember the Duke preseason tournament year. We looked great against Ohio state this year. Fsu apparently was a paper tiger but OSU wasn't. Same thing every year.

As a gator fan will not stop watching or pulling for them. The players work hard they don't need to see their fans bale on them.
Might not be easy but I watch the 0-10-1 football team and think we still sold out home games.
One SEC game and people want to give up.
Even if you don't believe, don't give up they are trying.

The players deserve a coach that will put them in a better position to succeed. Cant always win but you should always strive for progression. White's program has not progressed.

Apathy has definitely set in. I will be driving 3 hrs down to the South Carolina game since my dad got us tickets for Christmas but I don’t even get upset anymore when we lose.

I seriously think TSou broke my brain - I was six rows up behind the basket and now something deep inside me has changed. I yelled at CMW for four straight quarters and, while incredibly cathartic, it also seems to have emptied out of me any and all ability to care about Gator Basketball until MidMajorMike is gone.

When I accidentally turned the game on the radio whilst in the car last night, the pain in Mick Hubert's voice sounds almost exactly like when Death Spiral Dan Mullen mailed it in this year or even when Zook was clearly in over his head and unable to function. MMM combines the "but he's a nice guy and a great Gator" of the Zook years with the way Dan stopped actively coaching in mid-September.

Stricklin has no choice now, it is all about the when and the who now. The O'Dome is empty and MidMajorMike is as good as done.

I turn the game off in the second half and/or fall asleep knowing how it'll end. Really sad.

I’m glad for the kids sake that there are those that purely ‘show up’ to root for the kids themselves. But the program has lost all ‘entertainment’ value, and for those that watch the sport for that, then it has come time to ‘change the channel’. Want to see the gators win. If it’s going to be a regular thing losing miserably, at home, then it’s just not worth the turning the game on. Time for Change.
