Thanks. Feel free to google Hitler with each of their names and have some time to scroll through. It's axiomatic that retired/dead Republicans are held up by the left as reasonable in comparison to each subsequent Republican, who are all in turn called fascist and Hitler. Of course, it's not unique to the left - Tip O'Neill was reasonable before the Dems went crazy, yada yada. As far as progress for U.S. interests in modern times, the combinations of Reagan/O'Neill and Clinton/Gingrich are hard to beat. They had their battles inside and outside the Beltway (against each other and their own parties), but they lead their parties to compromises that have enduring effects. Wish there were leaders from both parties who rose above the nonsense - MSM is a lost cause.

True Republicans are deeply concerned about Haitians eating their dogs and cats? It will now be a policy of real Republicans to force CBS off the air? to censor media critical of the President? It is now the policy of real Republicans to conduct mass deportations (estimated to negatively affect the GDP by 8+%) ? Real Republicans want to increase the cost of imported goods and make it harder for struggling Americans to get by? And Real Republicans want to prevent the poisoning of the blood of real Americans, to find and punish the enemy within? Thanks for letting me know not to ever even consider voting Republican again until after they are done cannibolizing what used to be a mainstream party of some merit.

I love my son dearly. Since his birth he's become one of my primary motivations to be better in every facet of my life.

But frankly, he doesn't deserve a single penny of my earned money above and beyond what I want him to have. And if I'm honest, I don't think I would actually leave my son $13.6M even if my net worth was that high. My wife and I will leave him more than enough to give him a majorly different set of work/retirement options than I've had, but I have zero desire to raise my son to expect my death to solve his financial worries or desires. Going back to the true undertone of the absurd premise of Princess in the OP, I'm more concerned with teaching my son to fish than just giving him all the fish that I've caught and saved.

I tend not to let what other people say about a candidate i support hurt my feelings.(ie Kamala is a commie/socialist/marxist) Its the nature of the political process. And i try never to listen to extremists nor take their advice

And I could say everything you just said about your son about the Government. Our Government shouldn't be relying on the death of citizens to solve their financial or budget problems.

If you raised your son right, then this isn't even something you need to worry about. He will be successful and he won't be depending on that money.

If you're really that concerned about it, you don't have to tell him how much you're going to give him, that way he can't rely on it. Heck you could end up having major medical problems near the end of your life that would drain a decent amount of it anyway. If you really want you could donate some of that money to charities you care about.

But again I'll say this, I'd rather my son or daughter have that money than the filthy government. You said you son did nothing to earn it. That might be true. But neither did the government. Which one would you truly want to have that money?

@flgator2 - I am genuinely interested in knowing why you rated these two posts as 'funny'. Where, or what, is the alleged humor in the posts persuading you to label them as 'funny'?

Your delusion is that hard core Trump supporters are a majority.
And just fyi....Haley wins that general election and it likely isn't close

@flgator2 ~ Though I hoped you might rise to the challenge and exercise a bit of introspection, I'm not surprised you side stepped the request. Your loss.

For starters, many believe "hell" is where you go for denying Gods gift of redemption through Christ. Thus never having heard or known makes it impossible for you to be guilty of denial. (That is one prominent example of a differing view.)

Decent Human Life Lesson: Sometimes going the right thing costs you money...and that's OK because knowing you did the right thing is its own reward.

In your personal and daily life you are right. In politics, absolutely not. You vote for the candidate who is going to help you more, not the candidate who is going to hurt you by raising your taxes, raising the cost of living and hurting your ability to afford basic items like groceries. You absolutely vote the candidate who is going to help you. You absolutely vote for the candidate who is going to save you money.

    ^ Trumpism.

Which equals "F the common good, just take by whatever means possible."

Trumps shitty legacy on our country. The only way in which Trump "won" - leaving a stain on our history.

Informative to see which posters like this.

Well, in the event you find yourself in the top 1% of all estates with a net worth high enough to trigger an estate tax (which is basically the taxable threshold), then use the skilled CPA or tax attorney you would most definitely have hired to shield that money or donate everything above the estate threshold to charities that you care about. Academic and statistically unlikely problem solved.

This thread is all over the place. Don't want to further side track it, but want to throw a few points of consideration into the mix. The Catholic concept of Purgatory was adapted from Jewish beliefs about Gehenna or Gehinnom, a valley outside the walls of the ancient city of Jerusalem. Jesus spoke of it and the Bible has mostly translated it as Hell. It was essentially a garbage dump where fires burned perpetually and unclean things were cleansed or destroyed (purged).

Life after death is not a central belief in Judaism. How Jews live their lives on Earth is considered to be more important than a possible afterlife.

Jewish scripture has very little to say on matters of life after death. Though one pertinent verse, a favorite of mine, comes readily to mind:
Ecclesiastes 12:7 ~ Then shall the dust return to the earth as it was: and the spirit shall return unto God who gave it.

Jewish beliefs about the soul's destination after the body's demise are varied as there are numerous sects with various teachings just as there were in the time of Jesus. The teachings are focused more on people’s actions, intentions, and purpose in their earthly lives. This is in contrast to orthodox Christian dogma that teaches salvation is what occurs after death and is contingent on the adherent believing the creeds and doctrines of the faith.

Some Jewish traditions teach the soul will be reborn or reincarnated after a span of time in Gehenna. Contrast this with the Catholic tradition of Purgatory, the place of cleansing in preparation for the soul's admittance to Heaven (Gan Eden or Paradise).

1 Timothy 6:10 ~ For the love of money is a root of all kinds of evil, for which some have strayed from the faith in their greediness, and pierced themselves through with many sorrows.

    I do understand that.
The slope we are on will eventually tilt toward the govt taking more and more.
Even if it’s gradual, someone in my family will get less and the wasteful govt will get more, making my family and this country a worse place.
