The conspiracy theories are so good they require preemptive pardons.

Actually, there's a good chance that Trump not Biden will pardon Bob "Gold Bar" Menendez and Eric "Jive Turkey" Adams. Although they are both Democrats the fact the Rod Blagojevich was a Democrat didn't stop Trump from commuting his sentence. Eric Adams has already starting metaphorically kissing Donald Trump's fat ass and has even suggested that he could become a Republican. Also keep in mind that Trump doesn't consider corruption to be a crime but rather an acceptable way for the government to operate.

Trump could have pardoned a lot of people including himself when he left office in 2021. He didn't because he underestimated the corruption of Democrats.

 

Most of that flowed to Hunter and maybe some to James who managed to scam Ukrainians and Chinese that they could influence Joe Biden. There is absolutely no evidence that there was a real quid pro quo in which the Ukrainians and Chinese received anything from Joe Biden. In fact one example frequently cited is the payoff that Hunter received from a Chinese source in which he apparently promised to influence "the big guy". Hunter received that payment in 2018 when Joe Biden was out of government and the Republicans held the presidency as well as majorities in the House and Senate. Essentially Hunter managed to con an individual who had no understating of how American government actually works.

 

Actually those Chinese weren't pardoned or granted clemency by Joe Biden. They were sent back to China as part of a prisoner exchange in which Americans being held in China were released in exchange for those Chinese who were held as prisoners in the US.

Because of the timing the article tried to create the impression that the Chinese were somehow granted clemency. The prisoner swap was a completely unrelated event. There was no granting of clemency.
