I am going to debate Donald Trump - Biden. Update: Rules set ...

So it's going exactly how I thought it would, which is why I'm not tuning in. Too damn depressing. No one is shocked by Trump being all over the place and yelling and lying, but I can't believe anybody thought Biden was gonna be able to put up any kind of high school level debate. He's just feeble.

 

Yeah, I watched the first 15 or 20 minutes and it was unbearable. The main thing I saw is Trump is so crazed up on crack that he looks like he's about to beat up grandpa for no reason. Just way too over the top. And Grandpa is just wondering when he gets his ice cream for dessert.

 

Same firehouse of bullshit as ‘16 and ‘20 really.

But clearly ‘24 Biden is worse at pushing back than ‘20 Biden, which was already a worse debate performer than ‘16 Clinton.

Biden definitely isn’t stealing the show, but Trump hasn’t given a single answer yet with any substance or an actual plan. Everything right now is buzz words, generalizations, and rally talking points for Trump. Every answer he’s given sounds like the answer from a previous question.

 

What are environmental numbers?

 

That's what he does. Zero substance, 24/7.

That's one thing I was wondering about. Trump has been in his rally bubble for 4 years (and then some) and he definitely doesn't know how to answer a simple question. It's just rally talking points with no plan or substance but plenty of cocaine.

Biden was hoping the Golden Girls was on the monitor in the building.

 

Biden is trying to remember how to debate with Marquees of Queensbury rules and Trump just keeps kicking him in the nuts.

 

4.5 months out. No way they pull the plug on an incumbent unless Biden himself decides it's the case. And for Kamala? She may have even less support than Joe.

 

It’s not exactly ideal for him that literally the only idea he has been able to coherently articulate is “I’m gonna make people pay more taxes.”

Everything else is just mumbling followed by “another thing” and then not actually saying whatever the other thing was.

 

OK, Joe scored on the SS question, both his policy positions and contrasting to Trump's non-existent policy. Trump can't seem to distinguish between Russia, Russia, Russia and SS

 

Something has to happen, or they are gift wrapping the presidency to the orange sociopath.

 

The Democratic Party and Jill Biden are guilty of elder abuse.

Trump had a big tick up in the polls before the debate. I can't wait to see the numbers next week. (chuckle)

I'm thinking there won't be any more debates after tonight.

 

I actually think Biden has hit on quite a few good points tonight, but the issue is that many of these points are being lost in Biden’s delivery. Everything Trump is doing tonight is fearmongering

 

This whole debate is just

 

The route for a succesful exit ramp seems pretty narrow at this point. He should have stepped down after 1 term. But even then the Dems would have to pass up Kamala, which is it's own hornets nest to deal with.

 

Question on child care - Trump is talking about his ranking Presidents - giving Biden opening to point out Trump is ranked at the bottom by historians - nothing on childcare.
