Crazy with the tornados. All the damage will be compounded by the hurricane winds.

I think the forecast called for it to hit near 17 mph as it got close to landfall, so it should be about on time.

As the storm interacts more with land and the frontal boundary the wind field will expand outwards.
It has to do with angular velocities and the conservation of angular momentum if I remember correctly from physics (been 30 years).

I don’t know the formula but the higher you go the higher the wind, has to do with less ground interaction and less dense air moves faster. Just being on the 5th flood is gonna have an effect compared to ground level.

It has no choice but to do that if it does anything.

It’s following the same frontal boundary that Milton is, can’t go west.

In general weaker systems are more controlled by the air currents from other system.

Stronger larger storms can be less effected by those inputs.

Yea, but I don't get a vote. They are staying, probably leave afterwards if they have no power/AC. At least they are in. Condo not near water.

Radar movement 2pm-4pm in the general direction of Sarasota...
Winds decreased to 130mph in the 2pm advisory... good trend even if wind field is expanding.

Just because it develops into a tropical storm doesn’t mean it will hit Florida

Most recent radar loops almost looks like a bit more East motion. Couple just be a wobble.
