My guess is that they will be 2 - 3 feet too short. I just hope the bottom floor flooding doesn't take out the rest of the place if the aquafence. all that floating debris may have some impact on that fence too. Hope it holds
It looks like the eye will stay off the Yucitan coast by 50 or 60 miles. Hope we get a lot of sheer and upwelling does its thing.
Good news is that it might finally have peaked, it’s probably reached the max the gulf can support. The last pass was a bit over 900. Winds still 180.
If it pushes it up the bay, it could be much worse than that. They aren't showing any increase in the bay. That water could get funneled up, kind of like some of the bays do in the NE that have crazy high tidal fluctuations. Hang in there guys.
I hope it slows down, but I have to stay... too much to lose, and I've been though Charlie and got lucky. This house is older and very sturdy... Hope I make it. If I don't post in a week, then the power might still be out. Charlie killed my power for 10 freaking days. Hope this isn't a repeat.
This has the bay in its projections, but only shows 9 feet plus. Pretty clear though with the amount of red some places would get significantly more. HURRICANE MILTON
Oh yeah you will lots of push low areas in Jax will be flooded. If it drifts more north 40-60 with higher gusts I’d say.
Eye wall replacement cycle finally underway it looks like. The 11p may have a higher pressure and lower winds as it works through it. But long term it means a larger storm, and it could still reintensify before the sheer hits it.
I'm just north of Orlando, and I'm leaving. Heading to stay with family in Jacksonville. Hopefully, its path doesn't shift north.
I don’t know the hotel and motel situation In Miami-Dade so it is something to consider for those of you who don’t want to bet I’m the bottlenecks heading north.
