I ran into Walmart in Jax for just a couple of things. People are stocking up. Water, and Sams diet cola were gone.

I cannot convince my wife that we will not have storm surge. We are at 19 ft. I'm worried about a lot else but not storm surge other than it's effect on areas all around us

When they run out of beer and pop tarts, you know you're in trouble!

I’m at ground zero, ground level about 150 feet from the gulf in Redington shores.

The wife and I will head inland tomorrow morning to my son’s house.

This just might be the “big one” that hurts the Tampa Bay area.

Stay safe Florida. Property can be repaired/replaced, people not so much.

Crap. Irma came within about 10 feet of our front porch. We've never had anything remotely like it before.

Yeah I don't think it will be that bad, but I didn't think Irma would be that bad either. I'd make sure my storm drains in my neighborhood were cleaned out. If you or anybody else in Jax needs physical help doing that send me a PM.

The model I'm looking at has Ian nearly stalled near (just west of) Tampa for about 36 hours. Wed evening to Fri mourning before heading north. That's scary to think about.

seems appropriate. Best to those of you affected. Got a lot of family in the area including my 85 y.o. mom.

Thanks, but we should be good. Got to mow the lawn before it gets too wet for a week.
Will check drains today. trouble with irma was a nor’easter pushed up the river so water wasn’t flowing out like it would have otherwise

Showing too many models right now. Doesn’t the Euro model usually end up more accurate than US GFS?
Where oh where did the hurricane go…
