Bets on where Jim Cantore will be tonight? Boca Grande? Venice? Cape Coral?

 

European model is now right over my house. Would rather it be over or south to minimize surge. Flooding may be an issue if surge exceeds 8'

 

It’s insane how much rain we are getting in advance of this storm. Lotta oaks going to come down.

 

I have it on. He is still at Clearwater Beach, but I'd expect him to move south tonight at some point given the changes.

 

Wife said he was in Punta Gorda..is that wrong?

Don't know, they haven't had him on in a bit. I saw they still listed him in Clearwater Beach at 7.

Smart Water, it is not working.

 

The system is going through an eye wall replacement, which usually raises the pressure, but the pressure is still failing. A bit worried for what we will see wind wise when the cycle is over.

 

Boca Grande seems a bit risky. Takes awhile to get out of there if things go south and nobody wants to be in Cape Coral, so I vote for Venice or maybe Ft Myers Beach.

Where are you guys staying? We're in Plantation.

We've had a couple of tornado warning alerts. Lake in our backyard is up, pool is level full to the brim, and we have 3-4" standing water backed up in the street.

 

In Davie. Low rent hotel near Costco. Pet friendly and available. It would be far worse had we stayed in Tampa, just starting later
