The only restrictions to eligibility for VP are found in the constitution (see 12A).

Knowing what your adult son does for work is not among them.

My personal unrequested advice would be not to worry about the moderators too much and focus on the quality of your content. It’s challenging to do what we do when leftists are constantly baiting and laughing at posts sarcastically. They want you to attack the moderators, so that the moderators in turn ban you and thus you’ve been effectively canceled. Don’t fall into that trap. The moderators are doing their best. It could be a whole lot worse. Free speech reigns here, for the most part and that’s a good thing.

It only takes a couple to soil the well. I don't want to single anybody out on the forum. The mods know who I'm talking about and the mods I'm talking about know I'm talking about them.

Here’s an example of a post that should be removed but has not. It adds nothing to the discussion and is just mindless in nature.

I'm not. Just seems that you're conflating questions about politics & perceptions with constitutional eligibility.

The ones who are: a) obviously baiting with almost every post or b) obviously using AI for a vast majority of their posting are on my ignore list. Lest we cast our pearls before swine.

We’re getting too far off the beaten path. The idea that Joe didn’t know what Hunter was or was not doing with Burisma is a fantasy. Joe has been caught lying on camera so many times throughout his career. He even admits to being a compulsive liar when he becomes escalated. Let’s start there. If you really believe Joe didn’t know what his son was or wasn’t doing for Burisma, you are probably blinded by partisanship. It’s difficult for me to fathom someone actually being that naive.

No. Let me be more explicit to you since you clearly didn’t grasp my quite obvious post. No. It isn’t “Ok”. But what we consider OK and what is legal are two different things.

Nobody excuses the actions of Hunter Biden. But children don’t always follow in the footsteps of their parents. That doesn’t mean it’s always the parents fault.

I have not heard any evidence presented that Joe Biden did anything illegal or even inappropriate. After lots of investigating all they dug up from a legal perspective on Hunter was lying on a gun application and some tax offenses. My understanding is typically those are ticky tack enough that they usually wouldn’t warrant charges in such a situation but given the Optics they couldn’t just let it pass. I’m fine with that.

I understand you and your buddies have been counting on this Hunter crap to bring down Biden, but it won’t. Of course, as with every other issue where it doesn’t break your way, you’ll cry CONSPIRACY!! CONSPIRACY!!

What is it with you that you love being lied to so much?? Joe Biden, when asked, denied knowing what his son was doing for Burisma. We know that’s a lie. And that’s a lie to the American people. I consider that to be highly inappropriate. It’s nothing to do with his personal sex life or something private like that. His son was on a board for a large gas firm in Ukraine and he claims he didn’t know about it. C’mon…you just love being lied to don’t you?

What specific things did Joe Biden lie about? It’s an honest question - I really don’t know.

This isn't about what I believe or not because at this point all it would be is speculation, even if we can be certain that every pol lies (hell, everyone lies). But there needs to be credible evidence of wrongdoing.

So why don't we start with evidence?

What did he say that was an outright lie? Yes, he was being intentionally evasive. He said he knew his son was on the board of Burisma. He said he didn’t know what he was doing. That is plausible. I don’t think anybody knew what Hunter was doing. I don’t think Hunter was doing anything, other than grifting.

I’m not sure what you want him to say. Apparently you had no issue when Trump lied multiple times every day about just about everything but this is a wheels off event.

I am quite sure Joe wishes Hunter would stay out of this crap, but he is trying to stay away from his activities as much as possible. I’m guessing you have no experience with adult children who get involved with drugs. Unfortunately I do, as apparently do others here.

LOL you are doing exactly what Joe did when the Axios reporter asked him the question……but Trump!! There’s no need to continue the conversation, because you’re choosing to be willfully ignorant. We haven’t even gotten into the “51 intelligence officials tell me the Hunter laptop story is Russian disinformation” at the debate.

You literally bend over and say “lie to me, hit me hard.”

You don’t lie about knowledge of your son’s employment unless you have something to hide. Especially as you are running for POTUS. You only lie there if you’re trying to shield something. Again, this isn’t an affair with that woman. Or some other intimate detail of Hunter’s life. It’s what your son does for a living. You don’t get 51 intelligence officials to lie for you unless you’re trying to hide something. Some of you must have never raised a child.

This type of post has been actively debated by the mods behind the scenes. Does it add anything to the conversation? One thing that keeps coming up is that the "gif" function was added by the owner of the site. Maybe it has gone beyond what he intended? Until he weighs in, it is up in the air.

People lie about a lot things and for many different reasons, even when they don't have to. Likewise with politicos, who lie for any number of reasons but often to hide embarrassing things coming to light or to evade being put on the spot.

So let's say Joe lied about knowing when Hunter was appointed. Is the only possibility was that he lied to shield wrongdoing (assuming that is what you meant by shield)?
