There's also no evidence that Trump was "telling the truth" when he said that he "didn't declassify the documents," yet that's treated as a smoking gun. So yes, if that's a smoking gun for Trump, this is a smoking gun for Hunter Biden in a criminal trial and for Joe Biden in an impeachment trial.
HUNTER BIDEN IS NOT THE PRESIDENT! Good lord man! You want to impeach Biden for something his son did. Give it up!
Which message was that? The one that said he was “sitting next to” his dad? The one the crackhead sent?
That makes zero sense. Do you really think that the feds are using Trump's word to determine whether or not the documents were declassified?
Yes, I am. How else would they determine if the documents were declassified? There are no formal procedural requirements for a President to declassify. They pretty much needed to rely on an admission from him to prove that Trump withheld classified documents in the first place.
Manafort was found guilty of providing Russia with confidential polling information and other illegal activities and he was convicted. Along with several other people that were part of team Trump. So, yes, doing illegal things will get one in trouble no matter if they are in office or not. Is there evidence that Hunter, as a private citizen with a business, actually did something illegal in his call with a Chinese businessman? If he did something illegal, it should be investigated. The reason Trump was impeached the first time was not the result of the Mueller investigation, or the campaign. It was the direct result of his actions as POTUS in withholding military aid to extort a leader of another country to claim corruption against his political opponent.
But they had the authority to. The possibility of impeachment was one of the justifications for the Mueller probe considering that you can't indict a sitting President.
I understand you are trying to make a case that Joe should be impeached because his son had a private business call, in 2017, and brought up his father. However, what was the consequence of that call to any govt action or what was illegal about it?
Do you seriously think that someone (who isn't yet in office) can use the power of the Presidency to threaten foreign actors to personally enrich yourself or your family? You ever heard of bribery and extortion?
Yep, and Hunter was convicted of lying on a background check in buying a firearm as an addict. See, he did something illegal and was convicted. He also didn't pay his taxes on time and was convicted on that too. So impeach Joe on that?
No he didn't. He plead guilty to illegally possessing a firearm as an addict. He did not plea guilty to lying on the form (we just know he did that), which is a felony. He did not plea guilty to any possession of illegal drugs (a separate offense). And he did not plea guilty to any extortion charges regarding Ukraine.
Seriously ? Are you unaware or intellectually dishonest? "Those secrets cannot be automatically declassified by the president alone and require, by law, extensive consultation with executive branch agencies. In all cases, however, a formal procedure is required so governmental agencies know with certainty what has been declassified and decisions memorialized.Oct 24, 2022"
Ok, but don't you need to prove that first? Now, here is where I could see a clear case. Joe hires Hunter to be a senior advisor in his administration. Then sends Hunter to broker deals in SA, even though he has never worked on govt or public policy. He does nothing seemingly to demonstrate any capability to be his position. Then when immediately out of office, he is given 2B by SA. Now, that kind of stinks to me.
