And yet, you aren't able to answer a basic question. A conviction of Trump for a crime is evidence of a weaponized justice department. A conviction of Hunter Biden is also evidence of a weaponized justice department...against Trump?

I didn’t say that Mike. My guess is the Republicans will try to release a report on the subject conveniently sometime before the election. Unfortunately it won’t get much play from the media which has covered it up the past couple years. Mike, whether there is much evidence tying Joe Biden to the corruption other than emails, photos, phone calls, lunch and dinner meetings, whistle blowers, wire transfers to shell companies, etc. but who knows. But one thing for sure I think you and I are both smart enough to assume that these countries that paid Hunter $20 million to sit on their boards did it for political influence with Joe and not for Hunters expertise in their businesses which was zero. Maybe I shouldn’t assume that is how you feel. Maybe you think China, Russia etc. value having a whore mongering, crack head , loser as a member of their BOD for what he offered on his own. I don’t think so.

If $20 million concerns you why doesn't a billion dollars concern you even more?

    A. Countries don't pay people to sit on boards for the most part. Boards exist for private companies. Private companies pay their board members.
    B. One of the most common backgrounds for these positions are lawyers with elite degrees (such as Yale). This is especially true for lawyers with finance backgrounds (such as one who was an Executive VP at a bank and then worked for the Department of Commerce).
    C. He had experience sitting on boards, including when Bush appointed him to the board of Amtrak (this is actually an example of public board) and the World Food Program.
    D. One of the most common other routes onto a board is investing in a company through a fund, which his hedge fund did for some companies.

This is a bad joke, right? Gym Jordan and Comer Pyle have spent how long investigating this? How many witnesses have they interviewed? How many documents have they subpoenaed? How much money have they spent? They have as much on the Easter Bunny as they do on Joe Biden.

Md, seems like we had this discussion several months back. Let’s agree to differ on our opinions of Hunters qualifications to sit on any board. I see him as a very sick human being that was hooked on drugs and alcohol and supposedly spent hundreds of thousands on hookers while failing to pay millions in taxes for several years. What a joke when his lawyer said he was late paying his taxes. I know you disagree so I won’t try to persuade you any further. Would you agree that it is near certain that Joe will pardon his son sometime after the election?

I'd rather have Gym Jordan do it

If we had this discussion, it is strange that you would make false claims, like that he lacked background for boards (he had a pretty standard board background) or make the claim that countries paid for him to be on a board, when that is a job with a private company.

You act as if being sick with an addiction or even multiple addictions mean people don't sit on boards. He is far from the first, nor far from the last. I have no idea whether he will be pardoned.

yes, trumped up charges to attack political opponent bears no similarity with Hunter's crimes he pled guilty to.

Well, one similarity: both have been found guilty of felonies. It is fascinating how you have convinced yourself that all charges that cause you cognitive dissonance are "trumped up" while all charges that you like are reasonable.

The whole trial was a made up lawfare show designed for election interference. Merchan delayed sentencing because he first has to rule on inclusion of presidential immunity. This and all lawfare trials are dead. Merchan is milking for last ounce of election interference.

You sound like quite the expert on how New York criminal procedures work. Can you outline how you gained this knowledge?

I read and pay attention to details a lot more than you do. You too can become as knowledgeable as me when you become open minded and search for truth, some truths in places you refuse to go. Maybe you'll grow up someday, learn a few things, and develop a bit of common sense to go with the little knowledge you do have.

Hmm, interesting claims. And yet your posts on the topic lack any depth beyond Hunter Biden bad, Donald Trump good, which really doesn't indicate much open-mindedness or research. So tell me more about criminal procedures around sentencing in New York that led you to this set of conclusions.

MD, just read your post and you are correct. That was a poor choice of words and I should have said, the Board of Directors for companies within those countries. Getting back to the point and responding to your second paragraph let me ask it another way. If Hunters father was not the Vice President of the United States at the time Hunter was added to these boards, do you feel that Hunter would have been added considering his state of debauchery at the time?

All that demonstrates is that Hunter may have been able to con Ukrainian interests into believing that he was able to influence his father. There has never been any substantive evidence that Hunter Biden ever influenced Joe Biden with respect to policy. The same applies to the Chinese that Hunter was able to con. In fact the emails and texts between Hunter and the Chinese individuals that the right wing sources love to cite date to a period (2018) when Joe Biden was completely out of government and Republicans held the presidency and both Houses of Congress.
