So you apparently think it's humorous that under the US Constitution all criminal defendants have the presumption of innocence?

That quote has always seemed to ring true but for some reason the flip side of this is never quoted: “…anti-conservatism must be: the proposition that the law cannot protect anyone unless it binds everyone, and cannot bind anyone unless it protects everyone.”

Here's a timeline of events. Notice, NARA, at several times, requests Trump to return the documents. Trump had over 80 boxes, and did return 16 of them...and then told NARA, on a signed affidavit, that those were all the documents Trump had. In other words, Trump lied.

Had Trump returned all the boxes when NARA first requested, and allowed the FEDs to search for more, this case would have been a non-story. Much like Pence. But Trump didn't do that. He kept the boxes, lied about keeping them, ordered them moved, and then lied again. That's not BS. That's the truth.

That didn't happen. What's worse is you are so foolish to think the US has a fair system of justice when it is clearly not, two tiered as I stated above.

Circle jerks proceed, I'm done with you in this thread. I couldn't be happier with the decision. What you think is of no consequence.

It would really be ironic if Garland and Biden decided to have the regular Senate confirmed US Attorney for the Southern District of Florida refile the indictment. It's also likely that should that happen a federal district court judge other than Aileen Cannon will be presiding over the case.

You can't possibly believe that actions taken by a former President after he leaves office are still official acts.

    Sure you can . . . . when you aren't tethered to reality. :)

Enjoy living in your fantasy world where you can make up your own facts that support your opinion. Those of us in the real world would be laughing at you, if what you represented wasn't so damn dangerous to our democracy.

Trump ought to have a mascot for the rest of his campaign: Chief Smackahoma.

Trump can point at him and say, "There's my Native American!"

I don’t understand why this so hard for some people to get through their heads. He was unapologetic, lied, and actively tried to cover it up.

I would agree that the US has a two tiered system of justice. Donald Trump received more preferential treatment than any other criminal defendant would have in similar circumstances. One example:
This defendant violated a gag order.
Sam Bankman-Fried Sent to Jail After Judge Revokes Bail
Trump violated multiple gag orders and the last time I checked the worst that happened to him was a minor fine in the NY Case.

Refiling would be a waste of time. When Trump is elected, all the indictments will go away. And there is no doubt now. Bullets and ballots. Dead man Crooks and old man Biden are handing Trump the election on a silver platter.

It's only hard for those who have no intentions of even considering facts that don't conform to their opinions.

A timeline of events leading to Donald Trump's indictment in the classified documents case

On or about May 6, 2021: Realizing that some documents from Trump’s presidency may be missing, the National Archives asks that he turn over any presidential records he may have kept upon leaving the White House. The agency makes subsequent, repeated demands.

June 2021: The National Archives warns Trump through his representatives that it will refer the matter to the Justice Department if he does not comply.

Late December 2021: The National Archives continues to demand that Trump turn over missing records from his presidency. In late December 2021, a Trump representative tells the agency that 12 boxes of records have been found and are ready to be retrieved.

January 17, 2022: Trump turns over 15 boxes to the National Archives. According to the indictment, Nauta and another Trump employee load them into Nauta’s car and take them to a commercial truck for delivery to the agency.

The truth doesn't matter to him. That's why he's a Trump follower.

You act like either side tells the truth. Just be honest. It's really simple. The hypocrisy is out of this world here. You probably support or supported a candidate and then president who also lies covered by the media and his PR team with more lies about his well being. It's hilarious that either side would cry about lies when that's all our government has been known for throughout our history but you people simply pick and choose which side its acceptable from.
