Fundamentally, not sure even this dismissal changes anything. If Trump wins the election, the clock runs out on this case. That happens with or without a dismissal here. If Trump loses, this gets appealed and likely overturned as nobody seems to believe her ruling on “special councils” is on any type of solid legal ground.

 

I think all judges all the way up to SCOTUS ought to be elected now that they are basically political arms.

 

The funny part of all of this: the goal of this ruling is to make prosecutors more tied to the politicians, not less. But since it solves an issue of cognitive dissonance for you, that is okay, apparently.

 

The end result is the same. None of these cases are going to trial before the election, and if he wins in November ( a safe bet), they all go away.
