Arguably the best to ever do NBA color commentary. Hanging it up in Milwaukee where he coached his first game. Brown, 91, prepares to broadcast final NBA game
Onions! That's not Hubie. He never bothered with a catchphrases. Just talking out the game at a high level. It's nice when a commentator tries to educate instead of only entertain.
I agree, think he's the best to do it. So insightful. I met him before a Suns game about 10 years ago and told him he was the classiest man in basketball. I can't believe how sharp he still is, still so prepared and still so positive.
There’s something great about havinf the old guys stick around for so long. They have such great perspectives, and often great voices and personalities. Bill Raftery is one of them, Dick Vitale is another. Gives a real sense of tradition to the sport.
Marv Albert is that for the NBA. I think of all the great NFL and college football guys. Keith Jackson types.
