Also, what percent of our players now are players he has brought in?

This is potentially a great thread. Thanks @The_RH_Factor!

From what I hear, Coach Napier is really big on culture fits for both players and coaches.

With the portal transfers after least season over 1/2 the team are Coach Napier recruits. Sorry I don't know the exact number but a good question. Will be interested in others' responses.

Here are the transfer Napier landed in 2023... 10 in all.

    #D23AMTEAM: Meet the 10 transfers from Florida's 2023 class

And here are the 2023 football recruits that Napier landed. Now I assume you're talking about the 85 scholarships recruits or are you talking about every player on our team which could be as much a 109, I believe.. We also landed some very good PWO's too. I think you can find much of the information you're looking for in these three hyperlinks.

This is not a large number, I think he could still strive to bring a few more people.

I counted 26 Mullen guys left. Though, I could be off by 1 or 2. That’s roughly a 70/30 split. It wasn’t the complete wholesale change a couple of others made so quickly right out of the gate but still a pretty big flip heading into the 2nd season.

I think a key component is character. I think BN looks for character guys with talent. I think guys who will stay out of trouble, who will be potential team leaders and who will work hard.

I agree with you that CBN values character and that is a quality he is factoring into the decisions regarding what recruits to go after.
Judging character is not going to be 100% accurate for a number of reasons, but I too think it will reap benefits in the, (here we go), long run.

I think we're down to 5 more spots available for this class.

    In my head--- UF
Looking for huge OL first.Could be 2-3 stars. Knows 315 and up is key.

2nd is s strong stable of RB’s. 4 or 5 are best for his offense.

    WR- Speed is the formula.

I’m not sure about TE yet. Blocker first them hands?

Defense? He may be surprised at the huge size of kids in FL. Building a big def lone.

Intangibles? Kids staying out of trouble in HS. Hard to say about other traits- we see very little about their flash, or leadership, or team approach.

Some of the more vocal leaders talk about teamwork a lot. But these are kids. Young impressionable- Rashada very immature. The Nease QB. Cormsni

Come to think of it, I think there were multiple times last season that Napier referred to players coming from good families.

He recruits for the position. Rather than try to make an athlete something they are not.

This. I think he has a formula for each position; size, ht, wt, speed, etc. I don't think you will see many "tweeners" in kids he recruits, at least the senior HS and transfers.
