He’s a great debater no question, definitely did way better than I thought he would, but he is 100% hella cringe when trying to have conversations with normal people - there is no argument otherwise. Watch the countless videos online of it, YouTube and Google are free.

 

JD didn't try to win a debate. He was speaking directly to people who could swing the election. Young female working class voters who were a little hesitant to vote for Trump was one group

 

He is good at debating, telling the truth while debating, not so much.

 

Unfortunately most people don’t look past the surface and just see someone talking confidently and using their words well. That’s all that matters to 90% of people who watch these things and he excelled at giving off the illusion he knows what he’s talking about. Trump used to do the same thing before he went full grandpa Simpson.

 

He will drop out after 4 years with Trump and 8 years as President… so 12 years

JD Vance takes his best shot at demonstrating why he is unqualified for high office. He displayed a complete ignorance of why private citizens are not allowed to conduct diplomacy with foreign governments independent of their own governments. He defended Trump's phone calls with Putin after Trump was out of office by asking if there was anything wrong with Trump conducting diplomacy as a private citizen. Maybe the law has not been on the books very long? Let's see . . . Logan Act . . . enacted in 1799 . . . No excuse. The founding fathers knew this was wrong, and yet Trump and Vance did not. Another felony by the Great Felon himself, punishable by up to 3 years of prison time.

Vance did try to deflect the question by calling Bob Woodward a "hack". If there is a "hack" in this story, it is probably the Senator who does not have the sense to know anything about laws that have been on the books for 225 years!

It's good that Trump is learning what the Russian perspective on the war is. If chemgator had done that he wouldn't have a 2 1/2 year history of posting lunacy on the Ukraine War thread. Vance really is a special kind of psycho. In a recent discussion about having his Hindu wife go to church with him, he mentioned, "she has 3 children." Married fathers would normally say, "We have 3 kids" or "our kids." It's an utterly weird way to talk about your own kids.

In his latest interviews, he has said over and over that women without children are useless. He has stopped one notch short of saying that they should be taken out and shot.

The idea of this weirdo being one Big Mac away from the presidency scares me more than even the orange dementia patient does.

 

Please do not bring up the Logan Act. It's not a serious option since only two people have ever been charged with it, both in the 1800's, and neither were convicted. There are questions about whether it would able to pass Constitutional muster if challenged. Neither party in the modern era is particularly interested in trying to enforce it because they know it could be used against them when they do not control the White House.
