    Harris is a prosecutor that puts people in jail.
    Response: How dare you put people in jail for the crimes for which they were convicted.

    A Democrat proposes not putting people in jail for the crimes for which they were convicted.

    AP’S ASSESSMENT: False. Harris criticized Biden on certain topics related to race during a debate in June 2019, but she prefaced those remarks with “I do not believe you are a racist.”
