The video is on the UGA-Miss St. game thread. Kirby said today he didn't remember shoving the kid. I have been saying for years that Kirby was a douche. Athlon sports has an article with a number of people calling for Kirby to be fined and suspended on X. Look at the video and make up your own mind.
Most telling part of the video was the other ref who came over and gave the whole situation the hairy eye ball. Assuming he was deferring to the ref already on the sideline, but that dude was oblivious to the shove. Should have been an unsportsmanlike at minimum. And arguing that Smart didnt know who he was shoving only makes his behavior worse.
Woody went full on psycho against the Clemson player. As a teenager, I was watching that game on live tv...... Holy Schnikes!!!!!!! GO GATORS!!!!
There is absolutely no mention of this incident in the national media. I wonder if Finebaum will bring it up on his show this afternoon.
Busy talking about urban Meyer's rogue gators to this day rather than Georgia's dead player and staffer, continuing felony traffic stops and Kirby going apeshit and pushing a player without even getting a penalty flag. Gotta protect the current cash cow.
Good point gentlemen. I wasn't just talking about espn. Nothing on si foxsports yahoo sports nbc sports anywhere else. Some of these sites are not beholden to espn or Kirby.
I'm sorry, did you say your coach could eat up our coach? Then yes, absolutely. I still marvel that he used to be a DB and returner.
If Urban or Spurrier did this at UF, It would be the lead on every sports media broadcast. Finebaum mentioned it in passing at the top of his show. I can't stand the morons that call in his show but I want to see if he's the only national media person to bring this up.
Shane Matthews (on his podcast today) didn't think it was intentional by Kirby and thus not a big deal.
Can’t excuse Kirby and he should be called out for his actions. But, you are correct, Woody Hayes’ actions again the Clemson player much more egregious.
Agree. As much as I like having a coach that shows some fire on the sidelines, when it comes to a championship coaches demeanor one size doesn’t fit all.
