Allow me to dispel your ignorant delusions. The Tiananmen Square protests were NOT an attempt to overthrow the Chinese government. They were a protest against corruption and for economic reform. Hundreds, if not thousands, of protesters died. They had no weapons. They had to face down tanks and rifles without so much as a steak knife. The Chinese leader that they supported had died, and they wanted some of his ideas to move forward. If you are trying to overthrow a government, it usually helps if your leader is breathing.

We must forget the Tiananmen Crackdown

When is the last time that the U.S. government gunned down hundreds of unarmed protesters?

China is facing Japan-style stagnation. This could cause it to be in a middle income trap. The difference between China's collapse and Japan's is that Japan was a wealthy country when it collapsed, and China is not currently a wealthy country (per capita GDP at less than $13,000/yr). China's growth will not fall as low as Japan's did, but the end result will be worse, because the collapse happened much sooner in the growth cycle.

China facing Japan-style stagnation as nation gets old before it gets rich

So much for the BRIC coalition. The Chinese government put out an official map of China that included land owned by India. For some reason, India was unhappy with this.

India lodges strong protest with China over map claiming 'India's territory'

Maybe China is pivoting away from stealing land from Taiwan towards stealing land from a country that cannot be easily protected by the U.S. Navy. I guess the important thing is that they are still in the mood to steal land.

U.S. Commerce Secretary advises China that American companies may stop investing in China if China does not reduce the lawless behavior of . . . the Chinese government.

US commerce secretary warns China will be 'uninvestable' without action on raids, fines

New war games say that China gets defeated by the U.S. Air Force after the U.S. Navy in the Pacific is defeated. The reason that the Air Force would be successful against China is the JASSM missile. It's an extended-range ship-killing missile. The missile looks to be so successful that the Air Force wants to put them on cargo planes, too (even though that might be suicidal). The B-1 bomber can carry 24 of these missiles. Not great news for the Navy, but good news overall.

A war-winning swarm missile will knock China out of Taiwan – fast

China has a ghost city problem, and debt problem, that makes our deficit look almost manageable. But their ghost cities underpin their currency and those companies are starting to fail.

Yeah, that can probably print money too... but the value of their currency will keep going down. We'll have to wait and see if they get bailed out somehow.

Most factors point to China doing ‘less badly’ than we are.

U.S. imports from China reach lowest level in 17 years. Big winners in the race to replace China? Mexico and Vietnam. Even some Chinese manufacturers are moving operations to Mexico to continue having access to American consumers. Not a lot of confidence in the Chinese government there to find other consumers of their products.

The US just imported its smallest share of Chinese goods in 17 years — and the big winners are Mexico and Vietnam

China is flooding the internet with AI-generated images to sow discord among U.S. voters, using Americans' ignorance against them. Americans are quick to believe these images are real, and they re-post them, becoming "useful idiots" for China.

Chinese operatives are using AI photos to trick American voters and turn them against each other, Microsoft says
