Who cares? You could find relatives on both sides of the issue.

In a sense, Trump won, because he got some free publicity. That it came at the costs of further dividing the country, and dragging the ANC into the political cesspool is not important to him.

Because he doesn't care about them. Or America. He found another prop to exploit.

Does maga not get the family that invited Trump to use Section 60 for cheesy pics and campaign ads doesn’t represent all families??? And, ANC, Army, and DoD have laws and rules against using gravesites for campaign ads? Also, recommend using other sources besides Dear Leader for information and news.

“The family of a Green Beret who died by suicide after serving roughly a dozen combat tours and is buried at Arlington National Cemetery. The Hoover family granted permission to the Trump team to film and take photographs at the gravesite; the Marckesano family did not, and filming and photographing at the gravesite for political purposes is a violation of federal law, according to cemetery officials.

Yet Sergeant Marckesano’s grave was shown in photos from the visit that were published online. A video was posted to Mr. Trump’s TikTok account featuring footage from the Section 60 visit and the gravestones from behind, with narration criticizing the handling of the U.S. withdrawal from Afghanistan in 2021.

However,” she added, “according to our conversation with Arlington National Cemetery, the Trump campaign staffers did not adhere to the rules that were set in place for this visit toStaff Sergeant Hoover’s gravesite in Section 60, which lays directly next to my brother’s grave.”

No matter how many times it's been pointed out to them that these families opinions don't supersede the rules, they still post them like it changes anything. I keep saying maga voters live in a different reality than the rest of us and this kind of stuff just further cements that.

MAGA doesn't care. They're in a cult to a traitor.

A traitor who would drag down any and every American value or institution for personal gain.

Their traitor found another item to turn into a political football, for some media coverage. The pretend patriots jumped right on board. Pretty sad.

Maybe the guys who keep posting comments from a few family members who support what Trump did, GatorKP and g8trjax come to mind, will actually step up and address the actual issues here: Violating the regulations, shoving the worker aside, (what if she were your wife, mother, sister ...?), publicly insulting her, smiling and thumbs up at a grave, posting the photos and video, ignoring the requests of other family members to not include their son's grave ...
Maybe they can step up and address those points rather than just 'well, this guy said ...'

There are 100s of soldiers buried in section 60. It’s sad trump used their deaths and actual gravesites to promote his campaign. And now he’s pulling their families into this. Both sides and even if they aren’t making videos supporting his campaign. Just more stress and sorrow for all of them.

Trump is all about stoking the flames of division in our country.

Anyone who can do a thumbs up over their dead son's grave, wow. I really don't understand how anyone can be so deep into a cult that they could be "happy" to be standing over their sons grave with the cult leader.

I can understand the scarecrow not attending the ceremony as she’s never served anything but her own self, but one would have thought the cowardly lion would have been there, given his controversial military background.

You do mean his 24 years of military service. Without any bone spurs like your draft dodger fabricated.

It's fascinating to see the lengths people will go to once they join a traitors cult.

"Who does a thumbs up and smiles in a cemetery?"

This CLUELESS moron . . . . who did a grinning thumbs up with an orphaned baby who's parents were just murdered in the El Paso massacre.

Who cares? That is your reply to American Servicemen losing their lives?

And no one “won” anything in this situation. Grieving parents and relatives are obviously still upset with the way Biden handled the withdrawal and are speaking out, which is their right but Trump didn’t win a damn thing. You talk about wanting to unify the country but then in every thread it’s all about us vs them.

That's the word . . . . "exploit". He will EXPLOIT anyone, anywhere, anytime to accumulate more WEALTH and POWER for HIMSELF.

LOL, I said "who cares" about an individual's opinion on this. Obviously. But spare us your fake indignation about my comment you willfully misinterpreted: you support a guy who called our service people "suckers and losers." Your hypocrisy will play better elsewhere.

Also, I'm just a nobody citizen on a message board. Spare me your accusations of "division", while you excuse make for a draft dodger who intentionally breaks the rules at ANC, solely for political gain. Again, your hypocrisy is tremendous.

We, of course, could next speak about how Trump drew down troops before his announced Afghanistan withdrawal, after having released numerous Taliban captives. And you solely blame Biden.

But I'm tired of pointing out your hypocrisy on these issues. It's like an all day job.

Perhaps the poster misread? The "who cares" was in reference to the families stance on the matter in question. Rather it seems the poster wants to assign the "who cares" to the servicemen's demise.

I hadn't read this statement from the Trump campaign, disparaging the woman who tried to do her job and enforce the rules. This is really disgusting.

Trump campaign was warned not to take photos at Arlington before altercation, defense official says
