Why worry about Trump so much? You're not changing anyone's mind about him.

Do you know the problem with 1932 Germany? Everyone talked about Hitler way too much.

"Hitler, Hitler, Hitler...jeez, get a life!"

So you don't care that he considers those who were wounded or killed in battle or captured and tortured to be losers and suckers? Seriously?

Criticizing Trump’s photo op at Arlington Cemetery isn't about being "tone deaf" or "virtue signaling." Many people respect the military, and when trump's actions or past comments appear to degrade those who serve, it raises legitimate concerns about his consistency and sincerity in honoring their service. It's not just about the photo or smiling faces; it's about whether he truly respects the military, both in public gestures and private remarks. Using fallen soldiers as props given his draft dodging, 'suckers and losers' and Medal of Honor comments is unpalatable to me and warrants criticism.

Many veterans can't. There was a great article in the Military.com during the last election showing trump had lost the military vote. The sitting Republican president lost the military vote, you would think that would be impossible. Can you imagine what a POS you have to be to lose the military vote as the sitting commander in chief?

Not surprisingly, he had the highest "unfavorable" rating among the officers. We all know, the more educated you are, the less likely you are to support trump.

a family with Trump laughing and posing in the midst of gravesites for a photo op used by Trump is disrespectful. Conversely they don’t represent all military folk or families of the soldiers buried there. Fortunately Arlington Cemetery understands this and strives for proper decorum and respect. The area trump was taking pics and smiling is supposedly banned for taking pics as there are recent US casualties “Section 60” (unless pics are authorized by AS). AS has guidelines that aren’t defined or changed by what trump does.

“Partisan activities are inappropriate in Arlington National Cemetery, due to its role as a shrine to all the honored dead of the Armed Forces of the United States and out of respect for the men and women buried there “

A source with knowledge of the incident said the cemetery official tried to prevent Trump staffers from filming and photographing in a section where recent U.S. casualties are buried. The source said Arlington officials had made clear that only cemetery staff members would be authorized to take photographs or film in the area, known as Section 60.

When the cemetery official tried to prevent Trump campaign staff from entering Section 60, campaign staff verbally abused and pushed the official aside, according to the source.

    This is what Republicans want.

Probably correct. It's very difficult to deprogam members of a cult.

Oh here we go a little more truthful article. AP has a little liberal lean to it but at least they are honest enough not to try to make something bad out of something good Trump did.
Talk about how veterans should act, they sure shouldn't act like some of the too hot folks here have.

Lol it's the only thing any of you talk about. Guess what I have liberal opinions on drugs, LGBT rights, immigration policy, pro choice... Oh but you guys don't really talk about that much and when you do I post some of them in agreement. I do this on purpose to see what you guys care about. I only get a response from any of you if I mention Trump or say things about what everyone thinks about your typical liberal. You only like people who agree with you 100% even though you act like the party of high morals and inclusion. You are some of the least inclusive people I've ever met.

Self reflect... try to figure out why your only friends are those who agree with you politically. You don't need another voice in this echo chamber gaslighting you and telling you that your opinion is the best and you're sooooo smart.

I will say it's nice that you know what I post about here personally. I guess I have a little space on your for sure huge and smart brain. I'm honored...

    So self indulgent and demeaning.

Have you considered frequenting another location where the attitudes and opinions of others are more to your liking? I, for one, am fatigued at the whiney, negative energy you wish to impose on others.

Read the OPs take them watch the video and read the article I posted. Seems the families of the fallen were behind Trump all the way. It wasn't at all like the OP made it sound. I'm pretty sure more will eventually come out downplaying or disproving some more of the OPs claims.

To be fair, I think the only two army national military cemeteries (and thus the only two that specific reg applies to) are Arlington and Soldiers Home.

There are also VA military cemeteries and some military cemeteries under the purview of the National Park Service (cemeteries at battlefield parks) that have their own separate regulations.
