Does maga not get the family that invited Trump to use Section 60 for cheesy pics and campaign ads doesn’t represent all families? Or Fox finding someone who supports trump? And, ANC, Army, and DoD have laws and rules against using gravesites for campaign ads? “The family of a Green Beret who died by suicide after serving roughly a dozen combat tours and is buried at Arlington National Cemetery. The Hoover family granted permission to the Trump team to film and take photographs at the gravesite; the Marckesano family did not, and filming and photographing at the gravesite for political purposes is a violation of federal law, according to cemetery officials. Yet Sergeant Marckesano’s grave was shown in photos from the visit that were published online. A video was posted to Mr. Trump’s TikTok account featuring footage from the Section 60 visit and the gravestones However,” she added, “according to our conversation with Arlington National Cemetery, the Trump campaign staffers did not adhere to the rules that were set in place for this visit toStaff Sergeant Hoover’s gravesite in Section 60, which lays directly next to my brother’s grave.” Trump Images at Grave Dismay Familyof Green Beret Buried at Arlington
We've been around this circle a lot of times. I don't think anyone believes they really don't understand the central points. I guess they just figure that if they ignore those issues and post the same two or three quotes over and over, it's kinda like winning. The gaslighting continues. The vast majority of the discussion on this board seems to revolve around clarifying the fact set to the folks that sup on the propaganda, which seems never ending. I feel we miss an opportunity to dig deeper into meaningful topics with the intellectual capital on this forum.
Hey guys, did you hear some Gold Star families were okay with breaking the rules? If not I'll post a link and video. I assume nobody has posted the links and videos, right?
Translation: Mental issue - Doing her job trying to enforce the rules prohibiting taking photos intended for political purposes at the Cemetery.
Flipped on a Fox News clip and was SHOCKED to see they were talking about this indecent! About how horrible Kamala was for refusing to visit or even talk to Gold Star families. Not a peep about the actual controversy, just some made up bullshit that Trump is trying to spin for political points. And we wonder why we have a huge divide in this country. Some of us live in the real world, while others are fed alternative facts and lies. "Conservative" news is going to destroy America.
It's totally crazy!! I heard some other Gold Star families were OK with breaking the rules in a different manner, so that's totally OK too!! This second group wants really really loud music, of a type that not everyone enjoys. They're going to have a dance party at the cemetery, because that's what they think their relative would have wanted. There are going to be numerous other families nearby, but who cares what they think, because this one family wants this one thing to happen in the Arlington National Cemetery. Also, I'm all for being rilly rilly lawful and orderly, and I'm a truly considerate law and order person!!! Am I doing this right, Trump cultists?
You know, I really hadn't thought about that part. Imagine you took you whole family across country to visit the grave of your loved one. And in barges Trump and his crew, and you watch as they have a tussle with the employee there, no way that was silent, and have to listen to Trump do his schtick, laughing, cracking jokes, "Everyone smile, and lets do a Thumbs up!"
It's already been explained earlier in the thread. Others Have Politicized Arlington, but Trump’s Approach Has No Precedent
John McCain pulled his advertisement and apologized, calling it a "very bad mistake." Trump, on the other hand, has defended his actions and hasn't apologized. Big difference.
As soon as McCain's campaign was informed that the ad was in violation of the regulations of Arlington National Cemetery it was withdrawn. As far as I know Trump is still posting the photos from the Cemetery.
@flgator2 Are all of these Republican generals lying to you? Can u answer a question rather than give a rating?
