This scumbag smiles and does a thumbs up over someone's grave. This was after his campaign staff abused an Arlington official trying to stop them.
I'll take a stab at it: the apologists will claim the grave in question was a democrat. Talk about tone deaf. Who does a thumbs up and smiles in a cemetery?
I assume/hope that’s the soldiers family members? If so not a big deal imo, Trump is distasteful and I think we all know he sees people as props, but I’d still defer to the family on such matters. If they want to pose with Trump that’s on them. Is there some regulation at Arlington about partisan politics and that’s why someone tried to stop them all from visiting the grave?
Not only regulation…..federal law "Federal law prohibits political campaign or election-related activities within Army National Military Cemeteries, to include photographers, content creators or any other persons attending for purposes, or in direct support of a partisan political candidate's campaign," according to the statement. "Arlington National Cemetery” https://www.npr.org/2024/08/27/nx-s1-5091154/trump-arlington-cemetery
While they’re calling it “federal law,” as best as I can tell from a quick look (with the caveat that I’m not an expert in army cemetery laws lol), I think the “federal law” they’re talking about likely is actually a regulation.
If they were told to leave (citing regulations) and forced their way through, what you’d have is criminal trespass. I’d wonder if the point of contention was the camera man? But presuming that is the family there, and otherwise they are authorized on the grounds, it isn’t like you are going to arrest them for a technical violation. Not unless there was bodycam showing them getting physical or something along those lines.
There are two sides to every story. I won't make a claim but I have read the other side to this one......Let's see how it plays out before putting too much stock in the usual too hot reaction of everything is Trumps fault.
What a shocker, a liberal doesn't know how someone could have a different opinion on who they are voting for and more importantly, why. You will never be able to understand because most of you are simply incapable of walking in anyone elses shoes but your own. Tone deaf is a good way to explain it. Here's a couple hints... 1. Military folks aren't sensitive so no need to use them as an opportunity to feel sorry on their behalf. We know its really just virtue signaling when the ultimate goal is to use it as an opportunity to shit on Trump. Not that you care about the people actually involved in this situation 2. Military folks appreciate being not getting into needless wars while also having a strong well equiped military as opposed to being geopolitcal pawns for the elitists using them to push regime change around the world 3. The family posing with Trump were all smiling. There are so many places to focus your efforts on Trump and you guys pick the dumbest crap to cry wolf about.
They are smiling also. I also am smiling knowing that Trump owns a large piece of real estate in that little brain or yours. You need to get a life, that's all you ever talk about.
I know are joking, but there are no "losers" buried at Arlington and your quip may not be in the best of taste.
He's on release pending sentencing in NY. If he committed a new crime such as trespass, he is subject to having that release revoked just as any other criminal would. For his staff members: Physical contact with a federal employee during the performance of his/her duties is a felony under 18 US Code S111. 18 U.S. Code § 111 - Assaulting, resisting, or impeding certain officers or employees a) In General.—Whoever— (1) forcibly assaults, resists, opposes, impedes, intimidates, or interferes with any person designated in section 1114 of this title while engaged in or on account of the performance of official duties; or (2) forcibly assaults or intimidates any person who formerly served as a person designated in section 1114 on account of the performance of official duties during such person’s term of service, shall, where the acts in violation of this section constitute only simple assault, be fined under this title or imprisoned not more than one year, or both, and where such acts involve physical contact with the victim of that assault or the intent to commit another felony, be fined under this title or imprisoned not more than 8 years, or both. (b) Enhanced Penalty.— Whoever, in the commission of any acts described in subsection (a), uses a deadly or dangerous weapon (including a weapon intended to cause death or danger but that fails to do so by reason of a defective component) or inflicts bodily injury, shall be fined under this title or imprisoned not more than 20 years, or both. (c) Extraterritorial Jurisdiction.— There is extraterritorial jurisdiction over the conduct prohibited by this section.
Title 32, Code of Federal Regulations (CFR), Section 553.32(c) § 553.32 Conduct of memorial services and ceremonies. (a) The Executive Director shall ensure the sanctity of public and private memorial and ceremonial events. (b) All memorial services and ceremonies within Army National Military Cemeteries, other than official ceremonies, shall be purely memorial in purpose and may be dedicated only to: (1) The memory of all those interred, inurned, or memorialized in Army National Military Cemeteries; (2) The memory of all those who died in the military service of the United States while serving during a particular conflict or while serving in a particular military unit or units; or (3) The memory of the individual or individuals to be interred, inurned, or memorialized at the particular site at which the service or ceremony is held. (c) Memorial services and ceremonies at Army National Military Cemeteries will not include partisan political activities. (d) Private memorial services may be closed to the media and public as determined by the decedent's primary next of kin. (e) Public memorial services and public wreath-laying ceremonies shall be open to all members of the public to observe. It applies to ALL national military ceremonies. I wouldn't expect Trump to know that, but you would certainly expect a professional campaign staff to. It shouldn't have to be a regulation, it should be a simple matter of respect for our service people buried there. Military cemeteries should be considered sacred grounds.
TDS... works like Drano on small Leftist's brains...sucking common sense out. I love just how pathetically obsessed they are with everything he does. I cannot for the life of me understand that mental disorder... TDS. Fixed. Lol... I need my coffee...
