I have eligibility left. I am old and slow, but I have grit. May only last a few plays before I need some oxygen, but I will give it 110%
2024 class looks good. Think you need portal LB until depth matures. We had a transfer to Mich State, a transfer to Utah and one to Missouri from our LB core this past off season. No group was impacted more by departures. I blame the former LB coach. Hopper would have made a huge difference for our D this year. Would have had two great LBs on field for first time in a while
Let me take a stab. Burney is a phenomenal athlete. He showed he could go stride with Bowers. But this is the first year he has shown to be useful in SEC play. We cannot wait 5 years for athletes to become ILB.
Maybe these new coaches don't need 5 years to teach our Linebackers how to properly play their positions? But... I do agree that more talent is better, so there's that. Upgrades are always welcome.
Stars do matter. Take a look at Harold Perkins. That guy was a stud linebacker the day he stepped on LSU’s campus. The evaluations were spot on.
I’m not getting out of this lawn chair nor putting down my beer but I’ll take the checks. Blues about to take off
I don't even like to imagine what could of been with him, James, and Scooby had he came here how it would look next season going forward. Can only hope we can get one of those two to be as much of a menace he is and will continue to be
Echoing you Bobby….I’m not the “what might have been” type but I sure feel that way about Perkins. Not saying he won the game for LSU today but he heavily influenced the outcome.
