They will probably take the house, but in reality the “gains” are basically no better than what was accomplished through corruption (gerrymandering).
Tucked into my recliner, covered with a down throw, listening to the wind howling around the house and watching election results on a local TV station, I was ready to wait as long as necessary to learn if Frisch had been successful. Things were looking promising, keeping hope alive when Boebert, anticipating a victory party in a bar about 5 miles from my house, declined a local TV reporter's request for an interview, walking away from him when he spoke to her. Almost immediately after that, at 1:03 the power went out and all connections were lost. The air sounded blue for a moment or two from my mutterings, then I got up and using the light from my phone I collected a battery powered camping lantern, candles, flashlight and a lighter. Soon the area where I am sitting was sufficiently lit. Trucker had gone to bed 45 minutes earlier and I did not want to wake him as he said he was content to learn what happened when he awakened in the morning. So settling back into my cozy spot I waited and dozed. At 4:05, just over 3 hours later the lights once again coming on around my chair brought me out of my dream state. The TV flickered then went to black, lit only by the Mute notice in the lower right corner. Lower right, I ask myself is that significant? What it does indicate to me for sure is my inability to regain a picture and sound on the TV Trucker has rigged up with all sorts of complex input that I have never learned how to use. When it comes to electronics I'm a 'push here dummy' kind of girl and since I don't watch much TV, except for a few shows we watch together during the week, it has never been an issue. In my frustration I go online and learn with 93% of precincts reporting Frisch maintains a slim lead with 50.6% of the vote to Boebert's 49.4%. The race remains "too close to call." I will not wake him to restore the TV for 'my viewing pleasure.' He, like me is recovering from Covid and needs his rest. And so I have an eye on a tab on my screen and check it for updates while confessing my frustrating ineptness. It may be a while. After the local Tina Peter's fiasco the people in charge are going to be extremely cautious in declaring the winner of this particular race. But yet - hope remains.
doesn't look good for her. Pitkin with only 80% counted & Pueblo with 90% should break hard for the candidate with a HS diploma.
Disappointing. I was really hoping that obnoxious hag would be relegated to one term. At least Colorado made it close unlike Georgia with MTG. Do their constituents realize they’re sending them to office to literally do nothing of benefit for them? Lol.
he's taken 80% in Pitkin & 54% in Pueblo. granted pitkin is tiny, so not a whole lot of votes left. compliments of @ajoseph https://thehill.com/homenews/campaign/3729524-boebert-takes-lead-in-colorado-house-race/
If you think MTG and Lauren Boebert do anything of benefit for their constituents or their state, I have land to sell you. And yes, if you vote for them merely because they have an R in front of their name, you’re not smart. They’re a total embarrassment.
When pubs secure a thin majority in the house, they will be thankful that it does not include Boebert (assuming she loses). Wait & see the mess the celebrity pols peddling angertainment (MTG) create for their own party. Besides, Frisch is probably more con than she is which does not take much.
I’m following the CO face frantically hoping Frisch pulls it out. I would love to see that clown humbled.
it looks like the majority of outstanding ballots are from Pueblo, Garfield & Pitkin, which bodes well for sending the Rocky Mt moron packing. If she loses by 1 vote, I'll drive out to Junction & give you a hug. I'll be by there in Jan....my baby is moving to Durango. & I'm jealous
The wind was howling in Grand Junction the night after the election while Boebert was having her election watching party in a bar about when the power went out and my TV reception was lost. At the time a reporter from a local TV station was trying interview her and she had just turned her back and walked away from him. Our power was out for 3 hours and I had no way of knowing what was happening. Disappointed it has not yet been determined, but being that it's this close and with the trouble we had with Tina Peters right here in River City, those responsible for calling the winner are going to be damned sure before they do it.
