Actually it is kind of annoying that people like you dismiss the idea of males and females the way you do. But hey. I get it. The evil 1% is not about your wealth envy. LOL!

I don't dismiss anything. I just don't need to repeat myself in every thread about it.

If you think a nation or society can survive with an ever growing wealth gap you should go read history books. Like I said. Can't have an actual discussion with you because you're unwilling to actually listen to the point someone is trying to make. You decided I was envious of the wealthy and you're not gonna let that go. You probably haven't even considered what my wealth situation is, huh?

The irony today is that the supposedly liberal party is hard core committed to the status quo, while the supposed conservatives, are the ones pushing for radical change--though all you want to pretend is happening, is where they GOP is trying to restore common sense order--like overturning Roe v Wade (legalized infanticide), men NOT competing against women on WOMEN'S sports, marriage = bt a man and a women (vs +/+, -/-)...basic common sense shit that was always honored as common sense and elementary.

...but to the radical changes championed by the GOP, and disdained by the TDS afflicted:

    1. An outdider candidate for POTUS--bc we got sick of bring lied to by establishment candies about everything. Dems? Overtly rig the system to make damn sure their candy is establishment to the core. First shill, then Doh! Biden, then sKamala...

    2. When in power, the only thing the dems accomplish, is more spending (on God only knows what...), and more debt accumulated.

    3. In contrast, DJT is proposing DOGE to reign in debt wasting, transferring tax burden to foreign entities for right to participate in world's largest economy bar none, deregulation to stimulate economy, strong stance v our greatest enemy (Chicoms--as opposed to Chicom puppet party doing Beijing’s bidding), going back to enforced border (opposed to Doh! Biden's open free for all...), and a cabinet specifically designed to gut deep state malevolence (opposed to Dums trying to deploy weaponized deep state to crush political opposition).

TBL--it's waaaayyyyy more than culture. The culture stuff is just the surface where the virulent neo-progs have said *screw U* to who we've always been, and have sought to turn our society in on ourselves to foster civil unrest. Today's GOP is a reflection of a consolidation of disparate interests coagulating to fight back against the Chicom driven cancer that has taken over the Dummyrat party.

MAGA talks a big game on reigning in spending but they don't actually do it. In fact, just the opposite has happened and now they're proposing all kinds of new govt spending. If they want to actually do something about it I'll be the first to come eat crow for you. I promise.

And pushing tax burden to foreign entities isn't real. Please stop repeating that.

In the mean time show me where the GOP has proposed solutions to home costs, insurance, cost of living, healthcare, or any of the things that effect millions and millions of Americans that aren't related to culture wars. The Dems havent don't much to address this stuff either, so I'm not here defending their track record. But they've at least put forth ideas and tried to push change.

Because there is loud and disproportionate outrage to an issue that affects virtually none of us any any time. Even your singular interaction has nothing to do with women’s sports or children lopping off their goods.

To me, the volume of the entire discussion is grossly disproportionate to actual, real world societal impact.

The GOP is trying different things. The Dums are entrenched and hell bent on the status quo--worst still, they're committed to the status quo bc it favors them and theirs. Meanwhile the GOP has Trump AND now Elon Musk (richest cat on the planet) proposing radical *change* in hopes of preserving our union, when they could much easier stay home and protect their own.

As for health, home, insurance etc costs--fix the economy, that shit will follow.

Conservatives generally seek to fix the economy by getting govnmt the hell out of the way.

You--a self-declared libertarian (lol!)--seem to be looking to government to fix these things???

The government *fixing* things, more often than not, just makes things worse.

What the government needs to fix, is itself. That's what Trump, Musk, Bondi, Hegseth, et. al. aim to do.

Well this discussion of this thread is on a trans bill and you made accusation that the discussion is being done to ignore the evil 1%. The irony is you probably are part of the 1% btw...

And you are proving my point. You clearly have shown your envy. Even with likely being in or close to the 1%. And the reason is appears to be that you are cool with males competing with women.

I am trying to figure out why. Do you really believe most people are cool with males competing with females and use the issue to ignore the 1% like you said?

I think we kind of agree. Which is why I commented on why it even matters. I was asked a question. By someone trying to make a little gotcha look at me moment. So I answered it as a point to show how meaningless the question was.

That said. This really is a discussion because a minority in power want to push an agenda. An agenda that makes no sense if you ask me. As even most trans people would be against the idea of males competing against females. Jenner leading the way.

That said...this issue with children is actually a big deal. And honestly. Child abuse if you ask me. So that is where we might part a bit (on the size of the impact).

I never said the 1% are evil.

I never said I want males competing against females.

I never said I believe most people are cool with males competing against females.

No offense but I said from the beginning this was why I really wasn't going to go down this discussion with you. You were misrepresenting anything I said.

And no, I'm far from the 1% but I've never been envious of what anyone else has.

Eh, I'm gonna check out here. You think Fake Elector Trump wants to preserve our Union, Musk is altruistic, and you're saying the govt is bad at fixing things in a thread that is literally about MAGA using govt to try to fix things.

    Take care.

Btw. You made me curious the threshold for being in the top 1% in the USA.

Top 1% of income earners is >650k a year
Top 1% of net worth is households over 16mil

If this were true, I guess I've never paid a gas or alcohol tax. Anyone? Anyone ever sent a check to the gov for gas or alcohol? We're just making Exxon & Inbev pay for it. ;)

We’re not ideologically apart on this at all. I just don’t think it merits the screaming. (I’d be more swayed if the issue was stopping child mutilation, because if the serious and permanent consequences, but that is nit the discussion.)

No it’s a reflection of the direction the democrats want to take the country.
They have had every chance to quell or deemphasize the issue.
Libbies love the weirdness and enjoy irritating the conservatives.
