If other teams are cheating or bending rules then we should talk to the NCAA and ask for clarification or permission. But I still maintain that nothing's a secret really. All of these staffs would know exactly how other staffs cheat and get away with it. I just don't believe staffs are letting alabama, georgia and lsu cheat openly. Maybe Miss St is afraid LSU will beat them up.
So you believe all the have nots are letting alabama and georgia pay players and the rest of us stay quiet? It just doesn't make sense.

I believe that for the most part recruiting success if a culmination of what staffs were doing two, three, four cycles back and how skillful staffs are at convincing kids and families their program is the best place to be.

Look at top classes this cycle, most of them weren't recruiting well in 2019, 2020 or maybe 2021. Yes, OSU, LSU, Bama, georgia were all recruiting well but NC, ND, Penn St, fsu?

God it hurts to agree with you, but any school that is cheating (other than rouge boosters) with the new NIL rules in place is either not so bright, (I detest the word stupid, but) or completely desperate.
The Alabama’s and Clemson’s of the world certainly don’t need to do it, they have way too much going for them to risk doing something that would be completely legal under NIL rules anyway if done by a corporate entity. (Easy enough to find for major schools)
The recruiting paradigm has completely shifted with the Supreme Court ruling. UF could be a major beneficiary of that shift, but they need to get onboard quickly (and legally) or they will be left in the wake as others take advantage. Being cautious is prudent (take a week if you need it), but let’s use this opportunity that was dropped from heaven above, while we can still get ahead of the curve. It’s UF’s chance to take advantage of the unique benefits a state such as Florida provides.

I am still confused about what can be done under NIL rules and what will be done to market(pay) players at UF and at our rivals. I just hope we are competitive in that arena. Do we even know yet where we stand? I don't wish to study NIL but look forward to it being announced we have some prominent players committing and receiving legal financial marketing incentives. That said, if other schools excel and we do not then we won't be able to pin our dissatisfaction on our Administration. Surely they wouldn't stand in the way for academic reasons. I doubt it.

It’s not against any rules to do things like get the parents a job. There are ways for the benefits to get there within the rules for the most part. LSU however , giving two different kids each over 100k can’t be punished? Because it’s not able to be connected to the school?

Sorry if this has been said already but all this will do is make the University lose boosters. They will change the rule soon enough.

Well, looks like it’s been in the works and letting players use the team logos will really help their merchandise sales.

Of course it will, the players would have sold virtually bupkus without them.

I’m sure it will continue to evolve. Good to show recruits that we have a plan and have their best interest in mind.

What’s the split? Meaning, is it a gift from the university for the players or is the university charging for their logo?
