Why do I feel like the UAA is going to handicap our NIL potential much like they do with our recruiting?

 

Let’s see some results. First thing to go is the scooters. It’s just a bad look.

 

It'll be approached from a compliance-first mindset. You can bank on that....especially after the BS show-cause.

UF is what it is institutionally when it comes to this stuff.

 

I will never understand why they are so afraid of the NCAA

 

Because we need something to blame.

 

You may have people in charge that are actually trying to do things the right way. In this game though” if you ain’t cheating, you ain’t tryin” may be the truest statement ever spoken.

 

And maybe if our nil money for our players is 10% of what a comparable player at Bama gets is the norm, we will just have to deal with it and watch the players continue to flock there.

 

The comparable player at bama gets more because they win championships. But yes, we just have to deal with it until we get on and above their level.

 

I think there’s a lot more to it then that.

 

What’s our connection with Gatorade now? I would think that would be like Nike to Oregon.

 

I don’t get what’s going on. Gatorade needs to step up here.

 

UF not affiliated with Gatorade. Sold long ago. Now owned by PepsiCo. Publix shelves have been low on stock lately due to what a Publix claims are plastic shortages limiting supply.

 

uf has no ownership position, but you can bet your bottom dollar that there is an "affiliation." Gatorade's acquisition by Pepsi most likely drove UF to switch to Pepsi products in all venues and last I checked, Gatorade licensing is the largest annual generator of funds to the University.

 

Might as well have Vespa sponsor the whole team since they ride around on scooters. If we're not gonna play the give them a new ford raptor bag game, might as well get them cute little Vespas with a NIL deal.

 

Not sure I want any scooter sponsor for our players in light of this. The car dealerships need to step up their game.
