Just consider what the article is saying, that's all I was hoping for. I never suggested that it was perfect, but it might have some merit if you think about it.

No, there is nothing in that "article" that even approaches consideration of merit. Let me pound out 200 words blaming UF's coaching struggles on the cancellation of the EA NCAA football games since 2014 and it will have as much merit as that article.

Blaming the fans is lame and ridiculous.

All the time in the world wasn't going to change the M-M-M boys into championship winners.

I am not the biggest Muschamp fan, and I didn't enjoy Muschamp going 11-13 his last two seasons. But if he wasn't fired when he was and the Gators sign Lamar Jackson, do we go 4-7 in 2017? Something to consider.

Exactly. I didn't put two number 3s on the field at the same time, but I guarantee that if I had been in charge of that, it damn sure never would've happened. Same thing with only 8 players on the field for a play. Geez, didn't it even look weird to the coaches when they were out there for the play that something was amiss? I think most of our problems against Utah were our own fault. So, if we turn it around and have a good season, do we get the credit as fans for a good season?

+ 3 times not enough players on the LOS & no TO called.....by a HC who fancies himself an OC
+ no TO called to prevent a delay of game at a critical time.

2 TOs* coulda made all the diff * delay of game & 3 2s

Could also ask if Jackson sticks around for a coach who doesn't believe that offense is a necessity.

Blah, blah, blah. Get with the times. It's NFL2 now. 5 years will be a long term moving forward. Kirby is probably the last of the "lifers" as we move into the pay-to-play paradigm. I mean, do you think the pressure is going to lessen now that the boosters are literally and openly paying the players?

Because it was a lazy article with little if any effort put into it. Reads like something I would have written for my Junior College newspaper.

    In my head--- UF
I'm not reading a drive by nobody hammering the fans.

Guys like bianchi went the way of the dinosaur for many reasons but one for sure was his constant eyepoking of the fans.

So I won't click on that article. Nope.

60% of the people on here are better writers than most guys on a sportsbeat

Did my $100 a year foist CBN on the team?Hardly

    Go gators

The thing is for a coach who is soooo detailed oriented to have these types of lapses, and who seems to give little importance to special team play ended up costing us dearly. In fact, ended up coaching wise as a poor coach.
Personally, I think he's doing way too much and will burn out sooner or later. Recommendation, put BG in charge of ST since he has experience there, let him do both jobs. He can't do this now but at end of season hire an OC and ST coach which will give BN more time to be the CEO of the program. If I were BN, I'd begin to get a committee to start searching for top OC's.

Time to ‘fess up. I can’t bear the burden any longer. I called the play that put both number 3’s on the field at the same time.

It's an almost objectively shitty article, and yet you're doubling down on this POS.

Well, your avatar article failed epically to make its claim; you say "consider what it's saying....it might have merit..."--we have, and found it worthless.

That leaves it to you, to make your case.

Put your fingers to keyboard, and explain why and how this POS has any merit, what that merit supposedly is, and WTH we ought to consider.

    I'll consider THAT.

Fans designed a junior high passing attack with zero adaptability and o attention to detail (2 3s). Billy has time but his failings so far have zero to do with fans and everything to do with football coaching

  20. Before NIL and the era of kazillion-dollar coach buyouts this article would have made more sense.

Assuming Napier hires an OC for next year I think he should be given at least 6 years to fix 12+ years of broken coaching. The writer is right about Gator fans being spoiled…by offense. Gator fans gave Mullen some leeway because the offense was exciting even in close losses. Napier’s offense might work after 6 years, but he will not make it to 6 if the Gators are not winning 10 games a season by his 3rd year (“the Norvell standard “). Maybe he can get by with 9 wins with an exciting offense and a top-3 recruiting class/ transfer class.
