I wonder if Warnock could push the issue by challenging some 3rd party loonies to a debate if Walker continues to sidestep. It would be lose-lose for Hershel, he'd look weak and the loonies might steal some of his votes.
Fox News’ Brian Kilmeade treats GA Senate candidate Herschel Walker to two puff pieces in less than a week
I hasten to post this because it is absolutely MEAN but... hot damn if it ain't absolutely HILARIOUS. Walker has absolutely no business running for this seat. He's brought this on himself
More and more I think this election is about Georgians’ self-respect. Walker is just embarrassingly incompetent
He polls at about 41% and has a 43% approval rating. That is really high for someone so evidently unfit for the office, as reflected by the uncut videos of what he says.
It appears that the debate scheduled for Thursday, October 13th will not be happening as Herschel doesn't want to interfere with Sunday night football Herschel Walker declines debate invitation versus Senator Warnock | 13wmaz.com
Well, the agency for talking to people watching the people you're talking to could run it on Thursday that is on Sunday and gas prices are high because of Joe Biden. Yes, I can speak Herschel Walker now.
What I don't understand is how the reporters who have to quote him know where to put the periods and commas. “I'm not going to respond to anything because you know that's not a debate, and you know that,” Walker said. “You've got people that are contributors to his campaign and it's in this room that only two people gonna see it on a Sunday night, I think. NFL Football, I am giving you an opportunity to be statewide so everybody can see what it is, see the contrast between the two of us. I don't know how you can ask for anything better.”
Edit ....wait ....I think I understand,.he just challenged Warnock to a game of football instead of debating .... I think ... Maybe not.
He's a blithering idiot, but even this mental case had just enough sense to know to not debate Warnock because he'd get slaughtered.
As more idiots and gadflies get elected in some of these states, I have to wonder how long it will be before those citizens realize they lack effective advocacy in Congress. Getting real things done for constituents requires a lot of skills including reasoning and advocacy, persuasive writing, grace in the face of adversity, and knowing how to build credibility and respect even from those you might disagree with politically. Soft power gets things done. I know a lot of their constituents think that they are “owning” the other side but really they’re just “owning” themselves.
