As someone who wants the Democrats to retain their majority in the Senate, I have to thank Donald Trump and the Republicans who voted in the primary. The seat was theirs for the taking and if the Georgia Republicans nominated a halfway decent candidate it wouldn't have much of contest. Reminds me of the Alabama Senate race in 2018 in which the Pubs nominated Roy "I have a thing for high school girls" Moore as their candidate.
Unless he's non-compos mentos (have I got that right, lawyers?) he's doing everything of his own free will. Exploiting his fame as a football star for personal benefit and power. No sympathy.
"This is how, in March, he explained his doubts about evolution: “At one time, science said man came from apes. Did it not? ... If that is true, why are there still apes? Think about it.” Yeah, people, think about it! https://www.washingtonpost.com/opinions/2022/07/11/herschel-walker-georgia-senate-race-pure-lunacy/
Herschel was asked once if he got tired carrying the ball 30+ times each game. He responded “the ball ain’t heavy.” I thought it was witty and great tongue-in-cheek humor. Now I know better…
I was gonna post this in a regular thread but I figured I should probably put it in here since it involves a political race, and somebody would get all bent out of shape on the main board. But man, without regards to politics Herschel Walker is a real moron
Actually, I think the Trump party has both competitions pretty well locked down for the foreseeable future.
And what's really troubling about a UGA education is when you find out this super-moron graduated number one in his class
His own advisors admit he's a pathological liar, just like his orange mentor. He fits right in with the modern day GOP.
I'm not sure I'd call these gaffes. They don't appear to be things he didn't mean to say. It looks like he actually believes this crap. And that's really incredible. Republicans worry about Georgia Senate race with Herschel Walker's liabilities on display - CNNPolitics
