Walker was actually pretty good in the debate, for a football player with no political experience. It looks like Walker is going to pull it off.
And if he were a Democrat he would be condemned by every Republican for being a lying hypocrite who lacks intellectual capacity and as a model of the stereotype they use to criticize black men, i.e. an irresponsible male who fathers children outside of wedlock with multiple women and fails to play any role in the lives of the children that he fathered.
Sorry for the brief hijack, but I actually thought of your profile pic when I saw this article: Activist glues his head to 'Girl with a Pearl Earring' painting in The Hague AMSTERDAM, Oct 27 (Reuters) - A climate activist glued his head to glass covering the world-famous "Girl with a Pearl Earring" painting at a museum in The Hague on Thursday, though the artwork was not damaged, gallery staff said. A second activist glued their hand to the wall next to the 1665 work by Dutch master Johannes Vermeer, and an unidentified liquid was thrown, the Mauritshuis museum said. An unverified video on social media showed two men near the painting, both wearing "Just Stop Oil" T-shirts.
I mean, he's not the most graceful candidate, but he's not awful either. He is very good at painting Warnock as a Biden clone and is quite adept at throwing red meat to the base. Not the most graceful, but surprisingly effective.
Oh he’s going to win and was never not going to. And he will be nuttier than he appears because this is him faking it. How it has come to this is beyond amazing.
Yeah, he got it going. When I see this political endorsement along with the Evangelical preachers endorsing particular candidates, I wonder what happened to the IRS prohibition of tax exempt non-profit organizations being directly involved in politics. I saw this story - (maybe the link was in here?) and it seems enforcement of the rule is not much of a priority for the IRS. Will everything be politicized going forward. Churches are breaking the law and endorsing in elections, experts say. The IRS looks the other way.
Herschel is a top 5 worst Senate candidates of my lifetime. Makes Michelle Bachmann look mainstream and normal. The guy literally can't think on his own, and only looked not-horrible in the debate because the expectations were lower than they were for Sarah Palin. BUT, he's going to win. He's greatly helped by Kemp at the top of the ticket this time around, and Kemp is going to beat Abrams far more handily than last time (maybe 7-9 points). As a result I think Herschel drafts off of Kemp to win by about 3 points. He'll lose some of Kemp's supporters because he's a complete knucklehead, but not enough for Warnock to win. Warnock and Ossoff each won in '20 b/c Trump was top of ticket and he was telling everyone not to vote. 180 degree different dynamics here in GA this time around, and every R ad uses two simple words that have been impactful-crime and inflation. So I think Warnock is doomed.
I think he wins but cannot fathom why. I'm worried about crime so I will vote for a lying, wife-beater who has threatened to shoot police?
You may be right. I certainly get inflation. But do voters think U.S. Senators have a lot of control over their local crime rates?
Not most. But it’s an indictment of the party who had some (but not all) of its members screaming “defund the police” and advocating for no cash bail. And it’s been very effective in places like Ohio, Arizona, Georgia, Pennsylvania, etc. where the Senate will be swing one way or the other. The Dems “Roe advantage” with independents in the middle has evaporated the last 60-75 days, starting with student loan forgiveness. Just look at the polls.
You have to ask yourself why wouldn’t morons who voted for Trump vote for Herschel? Trump barely lost in Georgia by a Miami home game.
I will give credit to trump followers - they at least stop pretending to be on the on high road, family values, etc. Led by Dear Leader himself.
