Should have mentioned this sooner and this time I'm very serious. While churches and other charitable organizations provide benefits to the needy this is why they cannot be relied upon as the sole source of assistance for the needy and I speak as one who used to volunteer packaging food at a food pantry for low income households. Despite the desire to help, in contrast to the government their resources are far more limited.

I think churches are a great idea. They can build roads, give subsidies to farmers, maintain airports so those with money and business can travel, monitor toxins in water sources. Great idea.

Well I guess if your head was in his lap you could call what Biden said criticism. But you would have to overlook a lot of “buts” to get there.

Good thing you have that electron microscope to split hairs. It might help you find the line between the protests and the riots in 2020.

But govt already does help the needy. I didn’t say church should be the sole source of assistance.

You’re better than this. Rioters in the capitol and peaceful protestors burning down businesses are of the same ilk.

Agree, but unfortunately, a few bad actors can turn a peaceful protest into a mob. In both cases, IMO

Although you didn't say so directly you strongly implied that churches if not the sole source of assistance to the needy should be the primary source.

What part of "NO MORE" Govt programs was hard to understand? That itself means there is current Govt programs.

His statement could also be reasonably construed to mean no more additional funding or expansion of current government programs meaning that even if the need increases the ability of the government to provide assistance should not be increased to meet the additional need.

No more could also mean the same as the NO More uttered by the repentant drunk hanging over the toilet. Lots of degrees of No More.

The moment a fire is lit, on anything, it is no longer a “peaceful protest”. At a minimum the torch is meant to intimidate. At a maximum it is a weapon. It is like walking around carrying a loaded gun with you finger on the trigger.

If there's 5,000 people protesting peacefully, and one person lights a torch, does that mean it's a riot and everyone is guilty?
