To each their own, but that word you used above, karma, always sticks with me.
One other thing on the prez, he came up the religious path, so there was talk of him being the next supreme leader too. So an even bigger potential void there.

I wonder if this is the same mass murderer that Obama gave 150 billion dollars to... and one billion in cash on several pallets? I guess he won't be spreading that wealth to other nations in support of terrorism anymore.

Even Biden gave him a few billion dollars recently. Glad he IS dead.

You obviously know nothing about Zelensky's job before he was selected to be Obama and Biden's puppet.

Do some research and then come back informed before you toss silly statements at me.

It was a Bell 212. They were manufactured in Ft. Worth Texas until 1988 when manufacturing moved to Quebec, Canada. The design dates back to 1968.

Sadly, Rick has jumped the shark and can join the ignore list. Sorry to watch him spiral down whatever hole he fell into but he is definitely out of touch with reality and I don't have room in my world for people that disconnected anymore.

Conspiracy theories shall abound, but how often do world leaders die in helicopter crashes? I’m sure it’s happened before, but it’s extremely rare. Why? Because typically governments go out of their way to make sure their president enjoys the safest of the safest conditions, travel or otherwise. And so, I feel like we haven’t heard the entire story.

And it’s possible two things could be true at the same time here. Perhaps the weather was quite rough. Although, even for the common commercial flight, a pilot will deliberately avoid areas of the atmosphere that are perilous. But this could be bad weather with Mossad waiting for such an opportunity to take matters into their own hands. When highly controversial world leaders perish in this fashion, it always leaves the door open to possible foul play.

Frankly, if it was Mossad, I applaud them. This is much better and more efficient than bombing tens of thousands of civilians in Gaza. Perhaps the Gaza bombings were a smokescreen to motivate the Iranians to let their guard down at home. In any case, there is no justifiable excuse for Iran to allow such a consequential world leader to die in this fashion. You have to protect the big guy at all costs. Of course, this is the same regime who shot down one of its own commercial jet airliners a few years ago. So it may very well be total incompetence, but I’m keeping the case open for sure.

Even though the world is a better place without him, pretty sure there's 100's of assholes just as bad or worse waiting to take over.

Some career helicopter pilot nerd trivia:

That’s not a made-up or vague term. There are several ways to crash an aircraft, such as midair collision, controlled flight into terrain (CFIT), power required exceeds power available, dynamic rollover. A “hard landing” means specifically that an intent to land the aircraft existed but that an aircraft limitation was exceeded (such as maximum Gs) in the attempt. Now that said, given what we know now, I would say this was not a hard landing but rather a CFIT, very similar to the Kobe Bryant mishap. Generally speaking, people don’t die in hard landings. The helicopter might not fly again, but the engineering features (crash-attenuating seats, for instance) will protect the crew and passengers from serious harm.

Yep. And it's just the slightest bit disconcerting, when the Iraniana celebrate the news of his death.

    Damn...who the hell's on deck?

This changes nothing. Iran will just place someone just as bad in charge, they will still hate Israel and they will still fund Hamas / Houthis or whoever.

Who is “celebrating”? I assume it mostly the types who would be against the theocratic govt. The people who literally put their lives on the line anytime there’s a large scale protest.

This guy was seen as next Supreme leader. So that tells me he had the respect of the mullahs. I.e. they are not the ones celebrating. The rumor is the current Supreme leader’s son is now next in line. So I guess HE’s theoretically got reason to celebrate (I read that he is seen as less charismatic and carries less respect than Raisi, of course I have no way of knowing if that’s accurate). I think the base case is the mullahs retain power and nothing changes, but I see no way this is helpful to their oppressive govt.

There were a number of Twitter posts yesterday jokingly referring to the Secret Mossad Agent Eli Copter as the man responsible for the crash.

They ended up reporting it as a fact.
