You definitely didn't read that correctly.

That's named sources saying Trump purposefully withheld aid for political reasons vs your article that was pure speculation and also wrong (see post 612).

I’m not sure Georgia and North Carolina are considered “red” anymore, either … both are 50/50 purple states in a tight election, so no one is “slow walking” anything.

'Perhaps the most appalling aspect of the federal response to Katrina was that officials obstructed private relief efforts, as these examples illustrate: FEMA repeatedly blocked the delivery of emergency supplies ordered by the Methodist Hospital in New Orleans from its out-of-state headquarters. Aug 27, 2015'

    • FEMA turned away doctors volunteering their services at emergency facilities. Methodist’s sister hospital, Chalmette, for example, sent doctors to the emergency facility set up at New Orleans Airport to offer their services, but they were turned away because their names were not in a government database.
    • FEMA “refused Amtrak’s offer to evacuate victims, and wouldn’t return calls from the American Bus Association.” Indeed, both the Motorcoach Association and the American Bus Association could not get through to anyone at FEMA to offer help for evacuations.
Tons of crap from katrina...not sure why anyone would not believe these stories coming in from people trying to help. Looks like the same old fema at its finest.

Shoot, I may be wrong. Says here that the rumor that FEMA is withholding aid to red state areas is completely bogus. These are just the Governors so they probably have no idea.

    https://meidasnews.com/news/republican-officials-counter-maga-lies-about-storm-aid

Donald Trump and his MAGA allies view this as a golden opportunity to stop Kamala Harris's momentum in North Carolina and Georgia - two of the states hardest hit by the storm. They have spread one lie after another about it, but those lies run counter to the public statements of state officials on the ground in distressed areas, many of whom are Republicans.

    Georgia Governor Brian Kemp:
“Earlier today, I spoke to @POTUS and thanked him for visiting our state and for adding counties to the disaster declaration list. I also pushed for more counties to be added and for additional support as we work day and night to recover from the devastating impacts of Helene.” [X]

South Carolina Governor Henry McMaster: “[Ongoing Federal assistance for South Carolina] has been superb. … We are getting assistance and we are asking for everything we need.” [
Tennessee Governor Bill Lee: “And you see this rush of local officials, TEMA, FEMA, from the federal to the state to the local, the local emergency management agencies, local county mayors with tears in their eyes out there serving their people. There is a great deal of hope when you see what is behind the effort, the coordinated effort, in this community to begin to rebuild.”

Just got off the phone a Pastor in the midst of the flooding in TN/NC. He is in one of the most devastated locations. He verified a few things about the situation: - Almost all help is being done by private citizens, mainly churches. - Private helicopters are flying in the vast majority of the supplies. - Local Sheriffs are telling people to feel free to defend their property from looters by whatever means they have. WROL (Without Rule of Law) is happening in some areas, which means looting, robbing, and etc. - FEMA's involvement has seriously complicated the rescue efforts. - Local Sheriffs have threatened to arrest FEMA workers if they hinder rescue and aid work. - The response to this tragedy has been massive and overwhelming. All from private individuals and local Churches.

Lots of stories like this out there.

I looked at some of that guy's other posts. Quite simply, there's not a reason in the world to believe him.
    Among his claims:
Lots of nasty stuff about Catholicism, including that it's not Christianity, it's paganism.
    He praises Alex Jones.
Claims the feds have not provided a single dollar to help Helene victims
Woke people are all racists and 'think about whites the way Nazis think about Jews.'
Women should not be in authority

Why would anyone believe a thing he says?

Sorry but when you double and triple down on stupid things like Haitians eating dogs, cats, and geese, you lose credibility and benefit of the doubt. You have Republican governors, mayors, and other elected officials saying they're getting all the support they ask for from the federal government. I have no reason to believe politically convenient Facebook and Twitter anecdotes. A healthy dose of skepticism is warranted until proven otherwise on these types of claims.

Elon credulously re-tweeted the hearsay-based post about an hour ago, so it's essentially considered news now.

Big strong alpha male couldn't land his helicopter in a parking lot because a guy sitting there told him not to.

I love how "equity" has somehow been corrupted by the MAGAts into a bad word.
Equity... deriving from equal... implying fair and just. If that's somehow offensive to somebody because he's accustomed to being first in line, cry me a f'n river.

I did. It doesn't say that. So unless you can link me to something from FEMA saying to prioritize non-whites your Twitter link is trash ass misinformation and if you had any shame you'd delete it. So link FEMA guidelines that say to prioritize non white people.

Lots of talk in there about rolling up and breaking the treasonous blockade stopping aid from getting through.

Dude, did you really just post a literal white supremacist (Jared Taylor) as a source? JFC.
