Thanks, man. I measured the distance yesterday from here to the Gulf, as the crow flies. My work is 50 miles (not shutting down for the storm), and my house is 65 miles. I can't imagine being close to a beach during this storm. Yall Floridians be safe!

Standing outside and just saw a big awning ripped off the building across the street.

It won't let me upload a pic too big

Try bringing the pic up on your phone and then taking a screenshot. The screenshot might below the max upload size.

Still saying it's too big, I cropped it but wont load.

It was commercial drive thru awing for a dry cleaner probably 25x12 aluminum.

Where are you in South Tampa? I grew up on the bay in Sunset Park (H B Plant alum) and lived there until the mid 90s. We flooded
during Elena in 1985 and again during the “no name storm” of 1993. Loved the area but thankful we’re not having to deal with this storm.

My parents were from Cedar Key and we had a family home on Way Key until 2014. While a beautiful place with quick access to some of the best fishing in Florida we’re again thankful we’re not dealing with a storm. I’ve had far too much experience boarding up the home and hauling boats to higher ground. Then, there is the recovery ….. just too old for that stuff.

I pray our friends in Tampa, Cedar Key, and other parts of the Big Bend fare well in the storm.

When you go to add the file, choose options and make the size medium. It should load.

I love fishing in Steinhatchee, storm will be closest tonight with high tide at 11:47 and almost a new moon. Storm surge 15 plus feet. Sad.

Yep. Those small (tiny) towns down there have been hit hard by the recent hurricanes Idalia and Debby. Had great seafood dinners at Salt Creek Restaurant at the end of the road in Suwannee last weekend. They were devastated by Idalia last year. Luckily, Hurricane Debby was only a Cat 1. Hope they can recover from Helene.

Looks like the eye will come onshore just west of Perry as of 5 pm advisory. This is not good, 130+ mph sustained in latest model runs over perry.

That doesn't work for me when I try it but if you edit the oic then find the resize option 40 percent is usually enough to work
