yes. they should since they have real time temp monitoring on buoys. if some stations are taken out, I'm sure they have other means to model it based on available data

That is a really well-defined image. Look at the massive energy in the nw section of the storm.

I have an APC. I think I splurged and got the one with 8 outlets. If the power goes out it makes a really annoying beep. I usually just shut it off because I can't stand the noise.

Brother has a boat docked at a marina in Palm Harbor. Does anyone know what the tide situation will be at peak storm in that area?

They are good for keeping a PC up long enough to save your work and shut the pc down, that's about it.

Our UPS's will run our server rooms for at least an hour. If the generator doesn't kick on, it's going to be a bad day, lol.

I was just marveling at the sophistication of your system compared to what I have with a little levity. The beeping, however, is really annoying.

So I was checking out Tropical Tidbits and the model for GFS has a storm popping up in the gulf/Yucatan area late next week and just sitting there and strengthening for a while over water. By a week from Tuesday, it is supposed to have a pressure of 928. Then it is supposed to move towards Louisiana, Mississippi, Alabama area right as the model ends. Hope the model is wrong on that one, because that sounds like a complete disaster.
