All of this is completely obvious if you're not a complete scumbag and a moron to boot. Again, maybe it's nothing. Or maybe we pay a terrible price for their malfeasance (this is just the one we know about). If it's the latter, I expect nothing short of wooden posts, blindfolds and last cigarettes.

We all know what she was doing: Fundraising. Specifically with foreign countries and people for the Clinton Foundation. In her case, any divulging of those could be very embarrassing and potentially illegal, but nothing she would do any (or real) time for.

This is different. There are systems in place so they can have these conversations on secure, government-provided devices. But that's the rub, isn't it? MAGA sees the US Government as The Enemy, far more so than, say, Putin or the FSB. Because having these conversations over some teenage chat app is far more than just mere stupidity. These creeps actually see fellow Americans as the greatest enemy and government approved/provided devices as untrustworthy.

I said at the time if the server issue came to light in real time, it was a fireable offense, but that the Secretary of State wasn’t going to be jailed over it in a million years.

That’s pretty much the same take i have here. Amazing how not following a bunch of degenerate sources and liars allows my positions to remain consistent. No, we aren’t going to jail a bunch of national security people and the VPOTUS. But the guy who set up the chat, whoever it is, needs to go. Unfortunately I suspect these people give no eff’s and will continue using unsecure messaging. The risk then is “something happens”. What would the political response be if a U.S. pilot gets shot down or captured? It didn’t happen here, but that’s the risk to such stupidity from the “braintrust”.

I was screaming about Hillary's server for years and this is just as bad. It is not a nothing burger. Waltz and Hegseth both need to be fired. Waltz for setting up the chat on Signal. Hegseth for providing obvious classified information on the CONOP of the strike. This is not going to be forgotten within DoD or the IC. It will be another thing everyone has to go through training about at least once a year.

What's interesting here is that clearly Waltz has been tabbed as the fall guy for this and will be fired if "the fire" starts to spread too far. Yet it's just as clear that Hegseth holds the biggest share of blame. If wonder if that's because Waltz is seen as less loyal whereas Hegseth is wide-eyed, true believer who will follow Trump into the gates of Hell.

We need "classes" to teach members of the POTUS cabinet to NOT have chats about national security/military strikes on apps marketed to teenage girls? Wow! Who knew.

Just had the White House Spokesperson up there. She got pretty twisted up on the topic and literally announced tariffs to try to distract the media folks before running off. Markets went down quickly immediately afterwards.

Somehow they'd spin it that way. They spin EVERYTHING in terms of "woke". Almost like they're addicted to "woke". Ironically, more so than "the woke" themselves.

I do not think so. Goldberg has done nothing illegal since he has never signed anything that required him to protect classified information and there would be no law he violated. I think the Pentagon Papers established that it was not illegal for a news outlet to publish classified information they get position of. The only person that the DoJ can go after is the person that gave the classified information to the press.

    1. Crockett shouldn’t have said what she did about Greg Abbott, although he’s a completely shite governor, but Trump has mocked disabled people before so again, why is one party held to a ridiculous standard while Captain Bone Spurs gets a pass on his mocking of disabled people?

    2. Just because nothing bad happened and the operation didn’t end up being jeopardized, it’s still a screw up of monumental proportions that could have been disastrous if the wrong person got added to the chat instead. Stop defending this administration’s complete incompetence. We all said most of the people in this cabinet are woefully unqualified and we’re being proven right every passing day.

Of course it was classified. But to cover their asses they tried to pretend it wasn't. So the Atlantic called their bluff and released the "unclassified" details.

how can anyone say that without knowing what was erased?

almost certain that her server was compromised as it was the state department, her department, that got compromised if you recall.

that is done, this is now. can't fix that anymore than we can charge trump on all the chit he did on J6. two wrongs don't make a right

it's all about the Q rating. Trump likes pretty people so I'm going with Heg is second to fall.

it will be great irony and true justice if the seat Waltz vacated is the seat that tips the house to the dems and Waltz ends up on the rubbish pile that trump leaves in his wake.
