You knew this was coming the second this story broke (see post #3). They should have come straight out with that instead of lying. No shame at all with all the lying between x and z.

The funny thing is this is 100% worse than the Clinton email issue. This was the hypothetical “what could have happened” from an unsecured server. That someone could gain access to something in real time. The only saving grace here is the “random invite” went to a responsible journalist, instead of a bad actor or someone in the Kremlin, so no actual damage done.

But certainly the guy who set it up needs to go, and this type of stuff just cannot be communicated via apps or SMS messaging. Actually this seems like stuff that should only be discussed in a SCIF, at least until the operation is over.

Similar to Clinton, zero chance of a prosecution… and if one were to apply the “lock her up” standard several people should be prosecuted (maybe even everyone in the chat?). Obviously that ain’t happening.

It is insane to see how far the hypocrisy will go here. I don’t think demanding a prosecution is sensible just as I thought that was laughable with the Clinton email server, but they should at least fire whomever was most responsible and then promise to not use 3rd party apps going forward. It should not be a big ask to expect to keep ongoing military operations off 3rd party chat rooms.
