In Pete's defense, he is used to spreading news as far and wide as humanly possible. You would think someone would explain to him that war plans are NOT news items. Maybe do a show-and-tell kind of thing with him.

I anticipate many of us here wouldn’t understand complexities of a coordinated military attack. However almost everyone here would have enough insight to know not to send out top secret messages if we don’t understand and know all the parties on a text message.

The beauty is they did it for the exact same reason Hillary kept private servers. To shield it from potential FOIA requests.

 

I send messages all the time without knowing all the people. That’s kind of routine. If you use the proper infrastructure services, the system will take care of making sure the parties have the proper credentials to view the message.

No idea why they would use signal. It’s a secure open source app. Perhaps they don’t understand what “secure” means in this context. Would be interested in reading the details of the investigation though.
